im supposed to get a nissan livina, but the ford escape offer seems a big discount for me..

Magandang araw mga sirs. I'm planning to get a compact SUV this coming month. Pumipili pa ko between Ford Escape,CRV and Tucson. I'd like to get some advice kung ano yung dapat kong kunin (pros/cons ng bawat sasakyan except sa resale value) although I'm leaning towards the escape. And I'd like to know anong improvements ang ginawa nila sa 2009 model ng escape compared sa 2008. TIA

Sir, if I were you mag tucson ka na lang. CRDi siya and very fuel efficient. The price is quite cheap it ranges from 980++k - 1.1 million. The FC's not that bad and the elegant yet simple interior of the Tucson is really catchy. I've heard that the Escape is a gas guzzler ( not sure though ) . I admit, I like the looks of the Escape more than the Tucson.

Tucson CRDi is at ~P1.1M, while Escape at P950+(?), I heard because of their promo. A fellow employee bought an Escape a couple of weeks ago here in Alabang...

Yup, maganda nga Tucson, CRDI Engine. Its diesel fed, mura at matipid pa. Pero how about the quality of diesel being sold in the Philippines? Euro compliant ba? I've read several articles tackling issues about the quality of diesel in our country. Safe ba ito para sa sensitive CRDI engines.

Sometimes naisip ko na baka kaya sobrang mura ng diesel dito is because of its quality.

Opinion ko lang po. Baka in the long run mas mapamahal ka pa.

Nope sir, I think the best or one of the best diesel engine available here in the Phils is the CRDi. The CRDi is simply just fast! If you want to make sure, ask our fellow Santa fe, Tucson and Carens owners.
