no spare tire but the rear door still a side-swinger

where's the Dragon engine? fancy name for a little 1.5 3cyl which probably sucks. and supposedly the new tranny isn't dual-clutch anymore

which reminds us of the phrase "don't fix it if it ain't broken". obviously the ecosport is very much broken that they needed to change its CORE components

That's because all models share the same rear stampings and swing-gate door mechanisms.
Other carmakers have done this too like Suzuki for example.

Based on the photos, the Asian and Brazil-spec EcoSoport will continue with the external spare tire.

The 1.5-liter naturally aspirated 3-cylinder engine made its debut in the Brazil-spec 2018 EcoSport (in flex-fuel form).
Output with gasoline: 130PS, 153Nm of torque
Output with Ethanol: 137PS, 159Nm of torque
Transmission is a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

In North America the 1.0 EcoBoost will be the standard engine for FWD models.
The AWD version will use a 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated GDI engine.

That looks gauge cluster of the base Indian-Spec EcoSport.

The local spec EcoSport Ambiente has a tachometer.

*cropped and enlarged, found the image online.

of course they'll show the TOTL in the brochure

no pix for the ambiente which could have drastic value-engineering like the tach-less indian version

Hello po! New here at the forums. We just got our EcoSport last week, and we were offered option to avail extended warranty and one-time payment for 2, 3, and 5 years worth of servicing. Do you think it is worth it to get both? Was considering getting the servicing option because of potential savings in PMS costs. Just the estimate for the 2-year PMS is more than 20k! TIA!
