did you get the 6-DCT version aka Power$hit (powershift)? if so then if you experience problems w/ the transmission, which is VERY LIKELY, then you automatically get a warranty extension. at least that's what i've heard. so why pay for something that'll be free anyway?

as for pre-paid PMS it all depends on the cost. why don't you ask them for a breakdown then post it here so we can analyze.

this is just to compare Ford's SCAM w/ honda. honda also advertises a PMS price guide but when you actually go to the casa it's actually lower in the provinces. thumbs up to honda

as for ford, shame on you

PS i don't actually mind paying for casa maintenance. my old City has been casa maintained for 12 years. yeah it costs more but it's convenient for me. so i just hate it when Ford advertises something that isn't true

Hi! So far no buyer's remorse. BRV, Juke and Ecosport pinagpilian ko dati and ended up on the latter kasi gusto ni wifey ang porma and gusto niya rin ng manual at masmura.

The eco is not intended for racing nor for off-roading. The selling point is the wadding capacity and the compact cuv design. It is to bring you from point A to point B plus peace of mind during the rainy days. Heck, you dont even drive it like a sedan where you just floor the accelerator if you want to pass - it wont. Just drive it leisurely with less stress. Now, the DCT issue is another story though bur I havent encountered so far after 3 months of using a titanium version.

Takbong Papogi lang ika nga, hehehe. Atleast the ground clearance is useful in the urban jungle lalo na dito sa province.

here's the roof molding of the AMBIENTE

when you remove the molding, are there THREADED HOLES for mounting a roof rack or roof rails?

No idea sir pero sa tingin ko meron yan kasi ang higher variants may roof rail as standard.

True, and driving through bad roads.

It's the AWD version (not sold here) which can do mild off-roading.

The EcoSport was designed to wade through 550mm of water but it's best to avoid driving through floods specially if the street/area is unfamiliar.

Yung mga red hindi pwede alisin?
Baket walang aircon filter sa actual pms cost? Kulang ata
Baket sobra mahal ng oil sa bgc? Pang diesel na presyo yung oil

Ecosport Ambiente, the neglected lower-cost variant 60k cheaper than the Trent M/T but what exactly do you lose?

    1) alloy wheels
    2) roof rails
    3) foglamps
    4) painted door handles
    5) painted interior door opener
    6) overhead sunglass holder
    7) silver trim on steering wheel
    8) painted lines on front grille
    9) driver seat height adjustment (don't need it i'm 6')
    10) ford sync (kinda low-tech)
    11) some piano black surfaces
    12) tweeters

aside from alloy wheels and foglamps they're mostly cosmetic or useless for me at least. i'm definitely glad to lose the glossy piano black surfaces coz i know they'll get all scratched up after a few years

the height- adjustable seat is useful.
the rest, i can live without.
also, probably less ageing problems down the road.

    yep less stuff to break

    13) ambiente loses the numeric fuel economy. ambiente only has a bar (no number) which shows instantaneous fuel economy, so no average fuel economy either

    14) ambiente doesn't have outside temperature display. i don't need this, and it's one less sensor to malfunction

another benefit of Ambiente is that the spare tire is exactly the same as the other 4 which means you could include it in the tire rotation

the bare steel wheel at the back kinda looks ugly

i wonder where i could get a few spare wheel covers from the ambiente. maybe from those trade-in tire places?
