Gusto ko lang po mag share mga KA TSIKOT


Kakadating ko lang province from ford cabanatuan.. we got the raptor blue color (a friend bought it) but im the one who drove..

As for now, because of pure paved roads travel we had, Suspension quality is comparable to everest (on road).. we did not pass any rough road going to my town Baler, so the raptor magic is not yet tested.

Angelo Bacolod Yung power nya matamlay sa Normal Mode Driving...

But once you Turn On the SPORTS mode, responsive na sya.. Andun na yung power..

Impressive sa kanya as usual ay you can play even at high rpm without making the engine sounds cry.. para lang me humming na BUO... you will dont mind the engine hitting 3k rpm...

And sinabayan pa ng handling na stable.. so confident ka talaga sa liko..

Me jittery ride pa rin sya at the back as per our road... kaya i told my friend to put at least 25 kg donut sand bag sa likod para mas smooth talaga...

Pero what make this pickup truck unique compare to regular pickup (on road)ay yung suspension nya kahit approach ng tulay, uneven road, ay YOU will not feel na mag bottom out yung suspension or our term walang SALDAK! Yun ang astig sa raptor sa highway!

As pero off road.. wala pa experience hehe...

And mga ka tsikot, kahit po nabasa natin sa mga reviews na astig ang ON road handling nya, mind you that term is only applicable compare sa other pickup trucks with ALL Terrain Tires.. Given na big all terrain tires equipped ang raptor, you dont expect na maayos handling nya sa kalsada.. I think i will be more confident sa regular ranger with HT tire if youre looking only for a pickup truck na maganda handling ON road..

On our way to baler, mabilis talaga takbo namin with my convoy fortuner ( modified with rear stablizer link and wide tires), twice na nawala sa traction yung Rear tire ng raptor.. so meaning, kahit pa sabihin na maganda yung handling ng raptor, it doesnt mean for me mas Maganda handling nya sa regular pickup with HT.. Mind you lang po.. yung tire kase ng raptor for me mas favorable sa off road than on road travel

Mag share lang po ako habang me nasa isip pa ako hehe... Mali kase yung intindi ko sa mga reviews hehe... Now i realize na what are they saying is, Astig yung raptor dahil it's a very good pickup truck off road and also On road.. Given its offroad capability, pwede din sya sumabay sa Paved Roads.. Me ibubuga sa parehas na mundo.. Pero mas better sya talaga pang Off road.

Ang pakaintindi ko before, na kahit sa Paved Roads sobrang mas better ito sa regular pickups.. For me HINDI po. I would be more confident on regular pickup trucks with HT TIRES... So a raptor with HT tires is better than regular pickup pero mawawala naman yung pagiging OFF road beast nya once you change the Raptor tires to HT..

Im sharing po this point ( own opinion po).. If someone is looking for a pickup truck tapos intended only for PAVED Roads lalo na kung CITY use lang talaga, for me mas BETTER buy yung wildtrak bi turbo edition with AEB and active cruise control... Mas safer and also mas powerful sa regular roads because of lesser weight.. Mas higher pa ang weighing and towing capacity...

But if you will go OFFroad and has additional budget, it will be a no brainer! Go for Raptor!...

And everyone is asking for ride quality because of FOX shox.. Hindi po sobrang layo ride quality nya sa regular ranger.. its at par with everest... Maganda lang sa raptor hindi nasaldak ng malakas kahit pa mabilis ka sa uneven roads and approach ng bridges etc....

Doing HIGH speed RUN sa rough roads and jumping like a kangaroo will showcase only the difference between the fox and regular shock setup...

Because of the size of the tires kaya di mo ramdam yung sadlak sa uneven roads. Congrats sa New owner.

Hi Edsgail, paki clarify mo nga yung Handling description na gamit mo? Do you mean comfort for handling? Yun first mong post kasi sabi mo stable ang handling. Tanong kulang kung ang grip nya sa pavement ay maganda, na hindi feeling numb kung baga hindi "floaty". Pag nag turn ka with speed, feel mo ba na flat sya to the road, maganda grip, na hindi mo feel na itatapon ka o lomolotang ka?

Yes.. hindi sya floaty.. more on firm side..

Actually thats what im not expecting.. kase i asked a reviewer of online car guide (phil based).. masyado ako nag expect sa sinabi nya.. na the ride qualty is more on cross over segment.. He even said that the ride is almost similar to landcruiser (not mentioning the year model).. Another online car guide also stated that “heck it rides even better than the everest”.. Im a pickup and pickup based suv lover.. so everytime a friend or relatives has one, they lend it to me for me to try as always..

As a frequent province traveller, im looking for a pickup/suv that combines best of both worlds (very good ride quality with descent handling)..

So when ford accept resevation, i reserve agad from FORD Cabanatuan kaya my friend got the 1st unit on that dealer.( i told him na later na ako kukuha so he used my reservation).. if wala kase kukuha sa friend, ako na bibili para naman maka experience ng raptor.. luckily hes eyeing hilux conquest and he cancels it muna because of the lower price than we expected and the agent called me saturday morning sept 22 that my unit has arrived. So He got my unit.

To make the story unit, i drool every night on that fox shocks... sabi ko wow ito na! Sobrang intrigue ako na cross over quality daw na ang ride plus ayus daw handling.. mala landcruiser pa! dream come true! I even told my friend who owns LC200 na astig di ba! Mahigit half the price , parehas na sa LC ang ride.

Time has come, gamit ko na raptor going province.. im familiar sa lahat ng bumps and bridges sa way namin.. and familiar din ako sa ride and handling ng almost lahat ng pickup and pickup based suv on that roads..

And ciempre unang andar pa lang till makarating province, naka focus lang ako ride and handling (paved road) and It fall short sa expectations ko.. hehe.. nasobrahan expectations hehe.. i even drive subaru XV (cross over) a night before to have comparison haha...

but dont get me wrong.. maganda ride quality and handling ng raptor compare sa ibang pickup.. tutal naman i already experienced it and more experience to come (pwede na ako muna ako mag wait if ever walang issues then ill buy one too..

As per my post di pa namin na try off-road.. i think dun lalabas ang ka Astigan ng Raptor!!! Pero up to now im thinking where we can try the high speed off-road run.. haha.. off-road course marami..

To sum it up, for me raptor is more of a jack of all trade pickup beast.. but leans more on 4wd hobby.. its a toy 4x4.. kumbaga pinilit nya pagsama samahin na pwede syang regular pickup, pwedeng family car and at the same time its forte off road specialist...

Wishlist ko na lang sa ranger ...
Wish lang naman to suite my use..

Special design suspension pickup for our everyday use and travel.. Hindi ko need ang jumping capability ng raptor hehe where the fox designed to.

napaka versatile kase ng pickup para sa mga taga probinsya.. okey na yung comfort ride ng navara but lacks the handling and control of ranger..

Sensya na mga ka tsikot.. kwento na naman.. basta pickup and pickup based suv pwede nyo po ako ask.. kaunti lng idea ko sa mga cross over.. lalong lalo na sa mga sedans.. hehe..
