yung na kita kong read brandnew pa eh alabang plates pa naka lagay tapos yung 2013 model na din.

anyway tried the sand mode today. from what i notice yes it will let you rev a lot higher than normal tapos full time awd talaga. pero once you reach around 140-180kph bale wala na din since you're going fast enough pero going lower than 140kph ok gamitin if gusto mo humataw up to those speeds.

haven't tried that mode yet. will try later pag ginamit na auto.
I aim to please. I cannot be held responsible to any unwarrantable issues arising from misuse of this information. :hysterical:

First found out about this while testing on the racetrack last year. We were trying to find a way to make the Explorer go through the slaloms faster. Sand Mode is perfect for this. Gives you the most aggressive throttle and transmission maps WITHOUT disabling the active roll control. Just don't use it too often. It likely causes extra heat build up in the transmission.

As with any quick-ish, heavy car, best to let the engine, transmission, differentials and brakes cool down after a high-speed blast. Drive very gently for a few minutes afterwards and try not to load up the torque converter. Just to be sure.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Ok so fuel (gasoline) prices are going down again. Mas hindi na nakakapanghinayan gamitin Explorer sa city. I really enjoyed the ride with my wife last night going around Resorts World, Fort, and Makati. Sarap pag walang traffic! I'm also getting used to the surrounding of the Explorer kahit malaki ang blind spot niya.

I will try out Gary in the future for the FOG lights. Turning it on is not even noticeable at all! Pa retro fit ko ke Gary using 3000k (yellow) kung papayag siya after the warranty is over. For now, pag tiisan na lang. Buti na lang HID na ang headlights for the 2013 versions. =)

    Just to add...

I saw quite a number of Explorers this past week. 1 Blue eco-boost on Skyway. 1 Limited Sterling Grey with nice aftermarket 20" wheels and heavy tint. A couple of Tuxedo Blacks in Sanctuario De San Antonio. And today, I saw a Black eco-boost with an aftermarket wheels and funky looking "SPECIAL EDITION" sticker on both sides. Sorry but not a fan of that sticker at all. Sayang lang ang pagka gwapo ng explorer with that sticker on

Very excited to try out the MFT update. Had our Explorer serviced for the 15k kms PMS and had them update the MFT as well.
Wow taas na ng mileage ah. Sulit na

Regarding GaryQ's retrofit, can u give us a brief description of how he did it? For example, pinalitan ba nya yung buong housing unit ng headlights? Etc... Yung headlights lang ba ang pina-retrofit mo or pati yung fog lamps? Sorry I'm ignorant when it comes to modifications.

Ako interested lang sa to retrofit the fog lights. Talagang ang hina ng output. Ito yung site ni Gary: Home - HIDRetrofit.Net

From the pics, mukhang ok naman ang gawa niya. Subukan ko din pa retrofit ang xtrail namin pag me budget na ulit hehe!

Yup, all imported Ford vehicles already have tinted 2nd row & rear windows. Yung windshield & 1st row window ang hindi tinted. I don't know if its the same for other US imported cars.

Meguire's kami pag wax, wala ng iba hehehe!

just like 3ple4 said, american bu cars are factory tinted on the 2nd and rear windows. you can still have it tinted if it's to light for you, there is no reason why casa wouldn't tint it unless they gave you the tint as freebie. syempre less sa kanila yon kung yung harap mo lang ang papa tint.

CONGRATS! Make sure to check that your unit's MFT is already updated to CCPU S/W version 4.26.12023. You can check the version by going to Menu -> Help -> System Information.

As for wax, my manong driver is currently using Turtle Wax. Next time, I'll have it done professionally at my friend's car wash at the FORT beside Roadstar.

By the way, has anyone's MFT been updated to CCPU S/W 4.28.12156 (SYNC version V3.2.2) yet? Kasi apparently, meron na naman bagong update v3.5.1. FORD PHILIPPINES is really way behind updating the MFT. Dalawang update na kailangan natin so far...

Thanks for all your replies. Just passed by ford. Parang ok ng walang tint yung front row? Will try that out first, pwede naman daw ibalik kung magbago isip.

If I were you, then I'd go ahead with the tint for the front windows and for the windshield before taking your brand new EX off the dealer's lot. Ang ginamit na tint sa driver and passenger windows namin ay 3M medium black which is closest sa smoked glass ng EX. Then, sa windshield yung 3M light lang pinalagay ko.

NOTE: Please check mo na me kasamang 1) OEM Vinyl Matting with Explorer Logo, 2) Fuel Nozzle for Emergency Use, 3) Cargo Net and 4) 2 Sets of KEY. These are all standard for 2013 Models na.

    ENJOY!

Wala pa rin License Plate available. As per my dealer, aabutin na next year. Might be new design plates na makukuha ko. SANA!

Saan ba makikita yung Fuel Nozzle? Alam ko kasi meron din kasama sa 2012 model ko di ko lang matandaan saan nakalagay.

*Boracay777: If you will get yours from Ford Global, your tint will be V-Kool. I got mine the most basic one para libre kasi pag higher model, may bayad na, ang mahal pa naman ng V-Kool hehehe!

The fuel nozzle is in the spare tire compartment clipped on the side if i'm not mistaken.
I don't know if Global still offer the gas or v-cool tint promo. I took the gas, happy na ako sa
tempered glass in front windows & windshield, hirap ako pagdilim lalo na mahina pa ang low
    beam + fog ng explo.

Oh that's right, parang doon nakalagay.

I didn't have the windshield tinted (visor lang). So I'm contented with the stock halogen, makalas naman sya basta hindi tinted yung windshield

first issue - when we put gas na pinasagad namin (which is usually our practice) parang may napansin yung gasoline boy na tumutulo mula sa gas tank. anybody experienced this?
also, when you have your phone connected and at the same time you have an ipod plugged via USB can you control bout via MFT?
    thanks.

Sir, it is not recommended to overfill your tank.

The pressure in an overfilled tank may cause leakage and lead to fuel spray and fire.

I did the same on my first fill as that's also my practice to the rest of my cars. I've learned after that, that it will just leakout. From then on, automatic
shut-off of the pump is what i follow only for my explo.
