Hmm... is it just me or talagang mas madaming bronze na Explo dito sa 'Pinas. I've seen more bronze units than white. Mukhang sa atin dinespose ng US ang mga bronze units nila to make way for the kodiak brown

nag demo kasi sila dito sa lugar namin a couple of months bago lumabas ang new explorer sa market dami daw nag pa reserve non nung nag test drive ako. dapat nga nag pa reserve na din ako non para di ako na pilitan kumuha through in house finance, yung mga nag pa reserve kasi non na kuha agad nila unit nila nung naging available sa market tapos cash pa at naka kuha pa sila 25k gas certificate.

Question about replacing my Explo's fog lamps:

    1. What's a good brand? Philipes? Raybrig? Osram?

    2. May wattage pa ba bulbs ng fog lamps?

    3. May color choices ba? Coz the default bulb is similar to the color of the headlight.

Kahit ano brand pwede, personally I prefer yellow fogs... I use Polarg which I think has a deeper yellow shade than most brands and the Polarg bulbs that I installed in my other car are still ok after 6years

I think fog lamps are more useful as something that will make your ride more visible to other drivers/pedestrian especially during bad weather... they are less useful as illumination but they can provide additional illumination on the near ground

Pero sa sobrang baba ng fog lamps, baka ako yung driver di na makita yung illumination sa harap esp. during strong rains like today!!!

my situation is different, when i accelerate hard the air from the outside goes in the car. so nag aamoy usok dahil sa tambutso ng ibang mga auto. i want to know if others are also experiencing the same thing. please post here if you had it checked or fixed para alam natin if normal or not and what to do.

meron din ako naaamoy dati nong less than 2000km pa on hard acceleration, recently on my trip to pico de loro wala ako naamoy... diko napansin dati kung nag ooff yong recirculate button pero ngayon napansin ko hindi na nag ooff on hard acceleration...

sa explorer forum sa US madami din nakakaexperience nito tsaka iba iba scenario at so far wala pang official explanation ang Ford dito, at syempre wala pa silang solution.

Yun nga inaalala ko because my wife is 4 months pregnant and baka yung amoy na yun ay toxic or kaya hindi mabuting naaamoy ng buntis

Greetings all! First time registrant to this site and first time to post. When the news came out about the new explorer, sobrang gusto na talaga bumili since then. Ako din ata ang first to ask Ford Global if I can reserve a unit last year kaso lang hindi ko tinuloy dahil mayroon akong apprehensions about first generation models.

Since I have been in the market for a new car for my new family (first anak), I've checked out Chevrolet Traverse and Trailblazer(online), Toyota Prado 4.0 Gas, Mazda CX-9 and of course the new Explorer. I was set to buy the Traverse since nagbibigay sila ng P500k discount for FWD variant and P800k discount for AWD variant. Hindi ko tinuloy dahil me nagadvise otherwise. So my next target was Prado and all set nako kahit mas mahal ng P200k over Explorer and Traverse. Prado also comes with mediocre features compared to the Traverse and Explorer. Sa airbags na lang, lamang na lamang ang dalawa sa Prado. But again, Prado wins sa resale value and parts supply and it has been in the market since 2009. All set to buy Prado pero ayaw na magrelease ng TMPI due to the price increase in all Toyota vehicles. So back to Explorer...

I read the forum posted by greatauror28 and like him I got scared like hell. Our baby is 2 months and this is my first ever purchase. Sana the Explorer na mabibigay sa akin has already been fixed.

By the way, may I ask what date of manufacturing are your Explorers? It seems that the 2011 date of manufacturing units are mostly affected by the "burnt oil smell" problem.

Apparently, the "burnt oil smell" is not limited to Explorer. Chevrolet Traverse owners are also experiencing this problem. I've read pati mga Jeep and Toyota Owners.

To lessen the possible toxin, at ang sabi ay "BAND-AID" solution, I'm going to replace all CABIN FILTERS to carbon type filters when I get the Explorer.

Nakakatakot talaga since I will be using this car to transport my family between Manila and Quezon Province.

Anyone here experienced the "STEERING PROBLEMS" (As in biglang nawawala ang power steering while driving) encountered by a number of owners in the US?
