yup mas masarap i-drive ang cx-9 and handles better, but the explorer is just a better over all car considering all the features it has. also di ko na habol performance usually relax driving na ako ngayon, i want luxury now more than performance. sign na ata na tumatanda na ako.

Mine was 6 months. It should improve soon as they took time to settle some
issues before. Take the Limited edition than the ecoboost, you'll never go wrong on
the price difference. My best FC was achieved yesterday at 7.6 kpl from Baguio to Sta Rosa.

if they don't encounter any more problems with the units shipment, i'd say 6-8months if you have one reserved right now.

hi guys. a newbie here and was reading all your posts on the new explorer. i love it btw.

i'm trying to convince my dad to get one, the ecoboost model, since our main family car, a nissan xtrail is ready to be sold (any takers? :p it's well maintained. ) we keep our cars average of 6-8years, but the replacement might last longer since my dad is retiring and he would want a car for his daily drive once he's settled in manila end of this year.
i heard the ecoboost can get 11.7l/100km (city) which is far better than our xtrail 250x. i get about 13-15l/100km. sometimes up to 8km/L if very light traffic or out of town trips. I am very light footed, not reaching 3000rpm's, usually at 2000rpm steady driving. i live in alabang so traffic isn't as bad as edsa, and i usually take other roads to go to the northern part of the metro. i take slex almost everyday to go to makati/fort area.

i think the v6 is better if you want all the toys, but remember, the toys/electronics included overtime will malfunction and it'll be expensive to replace, but fuel efficiency, ecoboost is the better choice.
the price difference between the two i guess is somewhat a pain since there's little difference but then again, the ecoboost is an additional 995 dollar option in the US. the locally available ecoboost is adequately equipped and can't be found in lower variants of other vehicles.

anyone who has driven the ecoboost yet? how's fc and driving condition?

gonna do dealer hopping next week to scope replacement suv's for our xtrail.

I saw an Explorer XLT cinnamon metallic color with diplomatic plates coming out of Dasmarinas Village (Pasay Rd gate) when I drove along EDSA last week.

I just visited the Ford US site at ang dami ng dinagdag na colors for 2013 Sport model. Wala na yung feminish cherry red, pinalitan na ng ruby red which should look better. Meron na din green - comment ko lang is mukhang di ok

Had my 1000 PMS yesterday and all they did was inspect & check. Never did a change oil
as normally others would do. I wonder if that is really the case for Ford or just for this Explo ?
If only i knew it's all checking, i would have done the checking myself and need not bother
them.

:bwahaha: ganon ba kaya pala lakas ng loob nila ibigay ng free yung 1st pms. anyway my SA told me 2nd pms is at 25k na instead of the usual 5k or 10k?

After 1,000 pms, next one is 5K then 10K, 15K, etc... magastos sa maintenance

nope sa ford g.hills ako nag pa reserve, but called ford subic and may available unit sila in bronze. waiting for bank approval na lang then kunin ko na yon hopefully by this saturday.

update, ford g.hills just called me and told me that my unit is already available and they just need me to submit all the documents they need so i can pick the unit up. the problem is ford subic gave me a bit of a better deal.

yup with DI, reserved it last week. sa tingin ko meron naman talaga sila stock na tinatago kahit 2 or 3 units at sinasabi lang nila na wala at i sisingit ka na lang sa pila para i-avail mo yung in-house finance nila.

On another note, when can the manual shift be used? Is it needed to shift at full stop or can it be shift coming from auto then shift to manual ?

well on our x5m the 1st pms was at 15k miles so that's about 24k km kaya i could be possible but it haven't asked anyone about the explorer's pms but him so mukha nga di alam ang sinasabi or di kami nagka intindihan.
