lamborghinione, I agree it would be a success if they price the 4x2 2L ecoboost at around 1.8M, but i don't think the base model will be coming in soon, as long as the limited sells like hotcake.
Base explorer costs almost $10k less than the limited, enough to bring the price tag to sub 2M, who needs MFT anyway?
Matipid pa sa gaso, 2L 4-i. Mahintay na lang kaya yun? :D

If Ford could just fit those diesel engines from all new ranger into the new explorer, No need to create the all new everest IMHO. Just make the all new explorer compete head on with Montero and Fortuner. Maybe I"m just dreaming!

I think wishful thinking para mangyari yan. Since Explorer is made in the US and I think they won't be selling the Ranger in the US, malabo magka-diesel engine ang Explorer.

Wala bang MFT ang base model? Damn, sana yan na lang pinarating ng FGP. Yeah, who needs MFT, I'm sure most people bought the Explorer because of the exterior design :D And some of the automatic controls are not even necessary, they're just added costs and could give you problems maybe 5 years down the line.

though the review vehicle was an XLT, i would like to pressume it's not the case on the Limited.

Opinions differ. I found the seats perfectly acceptable, especially with the electronically adjustable lumbar support.

The old Explorer had much softer seats, but the new one's seats aren't uncomfortably firm, not with the standard leather on the local Limited Edition.

Yes , pwede cya as air replacement just like any other cars. The important thing you have the money to sustain kasi mahal
ang nitro vs just air (cda) na libre. Advantage is that nitro is cooler & lighter than cda.

Since the 2.0 GTDi ecoboost version is coming this year I just wanna ask is this version the same size/interiors as the one available here now?

hi sorry for the late reply, yes, i broke-in the car. since my daily commute to-fro work is aroung 70km, it was just in a matter of two weeks. so far, my FC is averaging from 7.5km/l to 8.5km/l with 80% highway/20% city which is very nice. i read about someone who had a rattling noise. i also had it but it's not from the a-pillar but from the latches of the glove compartment. it was corrected during the 1,000km check-up but went back. ill just be bringing it back on my 5,000km PMS.

by the way, the service advisor told me that the PMS interval is 5,000km whether fully or semi-synthetic so as not to void the warranty? can anyone confirm this?

Alabang din ako initially and placed my reservation 1st week of October. After a month, wala naman din movement kaya i moved it to Global, until all this scam came about. When did you reserved sa Alabang ?

bro sorry too for the late reply. i reserved early october and got the unit 1st of december. ako naman i first went to ford global but didn't make a reservation since i find the queu a little long and since ford alabang is nearer to where i live i went there next. i also find the SA from alabang sincere (hindi mabola) and his answers to my questions were straight, i reserved there for PhP 5k.

as for the ride, it actually is to my liking. i even like it a little better than my accord's ride lol. and the seats have just the right cushioning support for my taste.

the only minor gripes i have about the vehicle is the side mirrors and the head lights (i have light tint on the windscreen). i also just wish that the A/Cs last setting is retained in memory so that i do not need to activate the seat's A/C everytime i start the engine.

so far i have had no breakdown with MFT and it works perfectly with my iphone though i dont know if its normal that text messages are not displayed on the HU screen. voice command is a charm also.

Thanks your the info, actually yun sound is from dashboard parang from A-pillar di ko din sure eh,kc minsan coming from pasenger side yun ingay parang tik'tik'tik, pa check ko nga yun sa compartment, my fc is around 17-18L/100 590km pa lang yun unit ko.paano pala break-in mo? not passing 100kms? at 1500-2000rpm? thanks

Hi guys laki ng problem ko sa new explorer, today i bring the unit to casa which schedule check up by the technician from planta,nandun parin yun rattle sound from dashboard, di nila malaman kung ano ang cause and then yun glove compartment parang from the lock maingay din.ire schedule daw uli next week, kanina lg paguwi ko around 9pm,binuksan ko yun lift gate nasa half open nung liftgate may narinig ako ang lakas ng tunong! Akala ko may tumama, sinilip ko yun left shock(shock ba tawag dun) parang nastockup, tumukot parang bumigay yun mga glass and plastic panel, di n gumagana yun auto lift gate,yun fender sa taas ng liftgate bumigay na rin,sakit ng ulo ko, daldalhin ko naman uli sa casa tom,
My unit was only 14days old posibble ba na magrequest for a replacement of new unit?if di nila kayang ayusin yun problem? Or they just fix it up? Duda ako n available yun mga parts, since wala nga mga stock

*apple5: Pareho pala batch number ng explorer natin. Naku, sakit talaga ng ulo yang na-experience mo. Kung mabigyan ka nila ng bagong unit, baka matagalan pa yan since mahaba ang pila. Paano mo naisasara yung compartment kung sira yung hydraulic thingy? Pwede ba manual close yun? Ginawa ko lang manual noong program ko yung height sa pag bukas ng liftgate.

It's up to Ford Phils.
Kung ako lang masusunod gusto ko manual na lang ang 3rd row folding seats, manual na rin ang lift gate,
basic na lang ang radio/ACU/entertainment panel hndi na MFT, hindi na rin heated/cooled ang front seats.

Tapos maririnig mo sa SA hindi alam ang causes, sir wala pa po kaming parts na dumarating, etc. . . mas me alam pa tayo
