Useless engine numbers then (max power / max torque).. or could be the weight? Transmission?

Sir lytspid, is your 4x4 an xl model and rated 150hp? Just clarifying, i thought 4x4 xl models here in ph are those configured with lower hp.

Because the maximum torque will come in *1800 to 2800rpm on the power band. Dito sa range na ito ma feel mo ang hatak at acceleration. The maximum torque should not be confused with maximum horsepower. Max torque comes in earlier than the max horsepower. Kaya nga kung nakatakbo ka ng 160kph sa ranger mo, mabagal ng uusad ang speedo kasi mahina na ang torque all the way to max horsepower. Pero hindi ka na dehado sa ranger.

If rumors are true that the new Everest would have the same engine, then it would perform the same way as the Ranger. With this in mind, it wouldn't be that enticing except for the better FC.

the new ford everest will both have the 3.2 and 2.2 engine its up to the buyers wallet , as for the 2.2 ranger of all the vehicles ive manage to drive from manila to davao this the most fuel effecient, as ive only spend around 7t for the fuel and upon reaching davao city i still have 150km more to go based on the fuel left in my tank.. the ranger 2.2 is not built for speed , it is a daily driven urban cruiser that can haul, carry people and bring you to places you want, speed is out of its category, but fuel inefficiency is its great factor, forms - its a head turner among the pic ups and very much pleases the eye, ford has greatly improve the rangers stance, and a very big plus to people who always encounter floods, coz it has a very high air intake placement. another thing i dont like about the ranger is its car stereo, but it will not be long when we can get a front face mask to convert it to 2din,.. but if you have a budget wait for the 3.2L comming this year.it has all the functions and accessories other pic ups dont have.

ive driven both 2wd and 4wd ranger and they are the same, i didnt notice any difference in power, and why would ford detune a 4x4 and make a 4x2 more powerful than a 4x4, that would be stupid in their part, imagine a lesser hp 4x4, how can that 4x4 do its things having less power than a 2wd, and a powerful 2wd that dont go off-road and stays on road... maybe only in da pelepens...hehehe...
anyway i have a triton 4x4 2.5l non vgt , but with all the mods i manage to outrun almost all other pic ups and suvs with bigger displacement.. my next mods will be trying to improve its power, ive already replace the exhaust pipe and mufflers, as of now im still looking for that knn part number for the new ford ranger..

Sir how about injector or rail chip? plus throttle contoller...will you add this mods? To maximize the torque...as you are using exhaust pipe...which I guess larger diameter than the oem one....just my 2 cents..

as of now no rail chip or injector chip offers good performance, the chips on the market will only give the 2.2 ranger an estimated of 5 percent hp increase and all it will do is rise the pressure in the common rail, using chips like this will not gain any hp i needed to help the ranger, im just waiting for my friend in thailand to come up with the program to work with ecu of the ranger, as of now their trying to get things work smoothly with out having problems when adding power to the stock engine, doing so in some chips f you raise the power gains, the engine will immediately go into limp mode, and this what we dont like specially when your needing the power and suddenly the check engine lights come out. i experience this with my fort before and using several kinds of tuning box, every time when your not satisfied with the power chips, you tried adjusting it to gain more power but the ecu will always sense that it is going past its parameter and goes into limp mode.

Got my Ford Ranger 2.2 m/t black...i feel like driving Like a BOSS!!!Hehe...iba ang ride niya sa Montero ko,im really impressed!!!magaling yung agent ko sa Ford Global City.6 days lng nkuhaan niya agad ako ng unit!shout out to all the employees of Ford Global City!keep it up!

i just want to share something lang guys...1st choice ko talaga sa 3rd car ko is the 2012 Hyundai Genesis,den sobrang dami ko nabasa na mga bad reviews about the genesis,its not an everyday car,gas guzzler,pang porma lang tlga but much respect sa genesis head turner talaga siya!den ng decide n ako na mag 2013 Lancer GTA,macho car...head turner din talaga siya kase asteeeg din ang porma,almost complete na because of the Rockford Fosgate Sound system,nakapag deal na kami nung SA ko sa Diamond Motors Marcos hiway,mag bigay na ako downpayment sana,my SA also gave me an apple bundle para lang matuloy na talaga yung deal,its a 13" macbook pro.he also gave me 165k discount...nung lumabas ako ng showroom nila kase may kunin ako sa auto,nkita ko dumaan yung Ford Ranger na blue...dun ako na inlove sa Ranger tlga!as in!its like i just saw my Soulmate!hehehe...the Ranger is really a BOSS in the street!best in its class!inside and outside the best talaga!and now im enjoyin looking at it...no regrets at all!!!FORD RANGER FOR THE WIN! ; )

Looks s2pid talaga. pero even mitsu re introduced the 4x4 m/t 2.5 nonvgt strada this 2013. Bakit? Hindi ko alam. siguro, a lower hp 4x4 will always perform better than a higher hp 4x2 on off roads, that maybe the reason. Lower hp maybe lower cost.

Try ko rin tanungin nalang SA Ko kung may alam sya sa kung anung hp ng 4x4 xl na benta nila.
