The B166 will probably not work, It's gasket and outer diameter will not fit. It is however the filter you would use for the Crosswind. I tried to put the B166 on my Altima which uses the B1402 and it was a total no go due to the lip on the filter mounting base. and it was just to big.
i just checked the master catalog of Baldwin posted in page 60, and it was written there that the the filter for the 2.0 CRV is B227, and 4g63 galant is B1402.

i know the both cars have the same thread patterns. what i would want to know is should i follow the OEM filter PSID? or just choose any between 8-20 PSID?

Wix & Napa Filters & Accessories: FleetFilter Secure Online Store
For get that one go with the Napa gold, It has a much better efficiency rating because it's a mixed media like the baldwin, The Wix is cellulose. Plus that one is a bit long and some vehicles will have issues.

    USAFilterStore.com Napa 1067 - Wix 51067, L-D Oil Filter

This is probably the best deal going. You can also go to filterbarn.com and get the Fleetguard version which is full microglass on the full flow section and a mixed media on the bypass section for about the same price.

I saw titan gold at pacer... that filter made by fleetguard is ugly.... if you saw it you won't buy that.... walang center rib support na metal.. the internals are plastic.... grabe mas panget pa sa VIC

The B227 is shorter both will work for the CRV, B1402 fits basically all 2000 and up Honda 4cly vehicles. There is a wide difference between different brands of filters. The B1402 is 14psi the B227 is 20. I like the B1402 due to it's size and is what I use on one of my vehicles.

The main thing is no country of origin, plastic only covering the bottom of the filter, no zulu date code on the top of filter, poor paint or lettering, ect.

You can also look up the actual picture of the filter on the Fleetguard site or on the internet.

*miko1011130 I'm surprised to hear that Titan gold looked like that, possibly not a original because it should be a metal center tube on all of them.

Here's a example of real Fleetguards that have been purchased in the Philippines and a Titan Gold. (they do have plastic at the bottom) But should be just as heavy duty as a Fleetguard. The ones people have told me they have gotten were very high quality like the one below which is From Pacer. But you know how fakes like to sneak in.

dvldoc, i am going to get B1402 for the CRV. thanks for your advice.

as for the 4g63 powered adventure, i might get the same B1402 filter. im just not sure if it will have fitment issues.

Doc, maybe the one with the XL version of the titan gold is better constructed, the other regular titan gold cross reference aren't that as good as the build of fleetguard.... the larger filters of the titan gold i think are better constructed than the smaller filter sizes which i saw.... there's a huge difference on the price of titan gold compared to fleetguard...
