Well if you find a real LF3564 let everyone know were you got it, remember no country of origin it's a fake. The LF3564 is also now being made in Argentina as well. Mobil1 TD has a much better additive package over RP.

In a Turbo diesel it's all about the oil with the most Zinc, Phosp, Moly and Boron and Calcium and who has the highest TBN, all will give you longer oil life.

Fleetguard, Baldwin and Donaldson. Of course the normal inspection of non counterfeit inspection applies. Maybe someone can let us know how there Fleetguard and Baldwin stock is.

dvldoc, what can you say about valvoline 15w40 CF-4?.....i've found out that a CF4 is the better one if not the best to use for a turbocharged diesel.

i think i'm having another problem with my bosch fuel filter....engine jerks/shudders when accelerator is released suddenly from high rpm......there was this one time the fuel gage was below Empty and i filled it up with 50 ml 2T and while travelling to the gas station (10 km away), tried to overtake and engine shut off suddenly....something like someone reached for the key and turned it off then on again. suspected it was air that entered the fuel system (due to below E on the gage)....trouble showed up again i think 3-5 times even with the tank full. problem occurs when engine is revved suddenly or in constant high rpm. does not show on cruising speed...what's your suspicion sirs? could a soft hose coming from the tank to the filter-separator assy be the cause?

CF-4 has a robust additive package, higher lubrication than current oils, That API rating has been obsolete since 2008 so if it has a API star on it that oil is 3 to 4 years old already. Still safe to use but i would not use any oil that is more than 5 years old there simply because the higher the temp the oil is stored the more oxidation you will get in the oil.

But if it was stored inside a store it's good for about 10 years.

Hi doc, I think its a different case here in RP, because they still brew oils with CF-4 rating because it still in the required oil specs of the local manufacturers......and I think the CJ-4 is not even in full blast marketing here....

I guess it is different overseas I learn something everyday. But CJ-4 will have a fat additive package, but for newer diesels with catalytic converters can shorten CATS life by about 25%.

the highest API rated oil i encountered so far is the new DELO gold multigrade semi synth. CI-4 afaik....my suking auto parts dealer told me its the chevron delo 400 in the US. but i still prefer the mineral multigrade of Delo. Delo sport synth i saw one at a servitek dealer too with CJ4/SM rating iirc.

Yes it connects to between the breather hose and intake hose. Diesels don't have PVC valves.
