One other thing on the filter the date numbers are on the side they will always be on the top, Now will that filter work, yes, probably higher quality than the vic even if it is fake. I would be curious what it looked like inside to see if it actually is a bypass filter or just one element being passed off as one.
Those sales guys at these places don't know anymore about these filters than what vehicle they fit on.
You can't go wrong with the Baldwin or the Titangold which is made by Fleetguard, we have not seen any fakes on these. Fleetguard is super hit and miss there.

This is who I emailed about all the fakes coming out of there. All the filters will have a country of origin period.
Pacer sells Titangold. Do a search for it I posted their info in this thread. They are made by Fleetguard for Asia , there is no counterfeit market for these. They are also pretty new.
Or maybe include the filter cut of your LF3564 so that FG HO can take a good look of whats inside.
Malaki yung grinder bro, mawawarak element.. baka pwede yung tile diamond cutter pero delikado kasi konstant speed ang grinder.
Try mo hacksaw or kung may pipe cutter mas malinis ang cut. About 1/2 cm from the lip ang cut, minsan kasi makapal yung filter base so matigas yung bakal near the lip or stuffed ng glue..
LF3564 seems small, your vic is taller by almost an inch. Just like what doc said, why not use taller like BD7028? From your vic sample c-313 using eiken-kk cross reference Eiken.Co.Ltd. Best cross is BD7028.
SAE Study Shows Superior Filtration Leads to Reduced Wear and Costs
guys, check nyo ito. very interesting read. it discusses most, if not all of our oil and filter related question. hehe
Hi. I was informed by a member that you might have some questions regarding filters. I am from Pacer and one of the dealers for Fleetguard filters in the Philippines. I will try to answer your questions as much as possible.
Regarding verification if the filter is counterfeit or not, I will have to see the actual filter and confirm this with Singapore. They will then check if the filter was produced by them and at what facility.
Regarding the size, Cummins Filtration does intensive research and warrants that all filters either conforms or exceeds OE standards. Although, the size may be a bit different, the quality will remain the same.
Regarding Titan Gold, we are the dealer for it. It is a relatively new filter produced by Cummins Filtration to handle the light and medium duty applications (Fleetguard is originally designed for Heavy and Off Road applications). Although, the stock for this brand is still a bit scarce, we are trying our best to increase supply to keep up with the demand.
If you have any questions, you may email me at pacereqpt*gmail.com.
The official distributor in cebu did not have a working email. perhaps you could post it here since I emailed them but it seems it is obsolete already.

I would be curious to see the explanation for these discrepancies in the filters.
No country of origin
country of origin in country where there is no manufacturing facility built yet
Filter not sealed completely in plastic
lack of crimps on gaskets on filters which have them.
filters that have been cut open and shown to have low quality filter elements that are not fleetguards filter media or standards. All the ones that were cut open proved the fact they were low quality fakes.
Plenty of photos and the fact anyone can call fleetguard and ask do all filters haves country of origin (yes)
Are all filters sealed in plastic (yes)
Do all filters have date stamp on the top of the filter (yes)
I think we have demonstrated clear cut facts on these filters and the aspect of counterfeit filters.
The simplistic thing to do is simply look at the case the filters come in. I already posted the fleetguard pdf that state there label requirements, I doubt any of the cases of the filters that have shown to be fake meet these standards and have the original Fleetguard labels.
They will all have the fleetguard logo somewhere on the label, They will also have a bar graft (to scan) next to all the information, This is how fleetguard tracks everything.
The label on the case of filters will be in a box of 6 to 12
Example of one sitting right by my foot.
The label say Part number (1pc)
LF691A
Description
Lube filter
Supplier
FLTGR BARCODE (16V)
ORIGIN
USA BARCODE (120810F2)
With this information you can find where the filter was made and when it was made and shipped. I will post the pic later.
As I stated Pacer probably does not know they are carrying fakes because they get there supplies from Singapore but it does not change the facts.
I would like to see them post the box the ones we know are fakes up on here with the fleetguard label on the box. Fact is it won't happen because no country of origin is simply the dead give away this is a requirement from Fleetgaurd and no getting around it.
If your a dealer and your filters are not coming in cases that are properly labeled well guess what then the filters are most likely fakes.
Fleetguard has very ridged labeling standards for all there manufacturing facilities.
Examples of fake filters bought at (official Fleetguard dealers) in Manila no need to say the name we all know who it is.
Fleetguard FF5116 is a fake, First thing the pleated media is white, only the microglass is that color second, The Turkey plant does not come online until 2012. It's not even built yet.
This filter is from a country of origin in which the plant is not even been built yet.

Cummins to build first manufacturing site in Turkey — Luxury Yacht Charter & Superyacht News
explanation of the most common date code used on Fleetguard products:
Example: 03015-110614
Digits Identification
First-Second Year of production (03 for 2003)
Third-Fifth Julian date (Jan 15 is 015: Dec 31 is 365)
Sixth-Eleventh Internal production information
This is the same for all fuel and oil filters period.
source http://www.fleetguard.com/pdfs/produ...MB_LT32539.pdf
Other non US filters will have a date code like this.
Example: This is From a made in France LF3347
03244 1202 18:45
First-Second Year of production (03 for 2003)
Third-Fifth Julian date (SEP 01) the 244th day of the year
The last number is the time the filter was made
Another example which I also have in my hand just like the first.
LF3400 Made in France 05082 1202 18:15. You can look on any Fleetguard they all have the same 5 digit intial date code and it will always, always be laser printed on the top of the filter. Not on the side like this one with incorrect coding and no country of origin.
All the oil and fuel filters are labeled in this way period.
What's wrong with this picture. Direct from the local Fleetguard dealer in Manila. Anyone care to explain??
Here is another fine example of a fake fleetguard, The filter media should be a rolled media of cellulose material, This material is more similar to toilet paper and not something fleetguard uses. The filter does not even have metal end caps to keep it secure. This is not Fleetguard quality. I challenge any rep to state otherwise.
The country of Origin on lube filters will ALWAYS, ALWAYS, be printed under the filter instalation diagram on the filters
This is a example of that. The LF3407 (the one on the left) is from Pacer it is 100% real, it has country of origin, Full plastic sealed, proper date stamp on the top, The Titan gold is also the real deal. The two other filters were bought at F&E in the Philippines also real. The problem is real mixed in with fakes not that all that is being sold are fakes. But one should not have to know all the things to look for if no fakes were being sold from official dealers.
It's a huge problem in the Philippines or Cummins would not need to take out a full page ad in the paper about it. Everyone should know what to look for in a Genuine filter and if it does not meet those basic standards of Country of origin, proper date stamp in the proper place in the right format, Fully sealed in plastic not just plastic on the bottom (NO and I repeat NO Fleetguard filter leaves any factory that way)

So if anyone please explain why these massive discrepancies exist with the filter stock.
* Ry_Tower: Please check with Cummins Philippines as to Synchrotek's number. Cummins Philippines appointed them as sub-dealer.
* dvldoc: Can you please bring the filter to my office? I want to take a closer look. This has to be verified with Cummins Filtration in Singapore (they are in charge of whole Southeast Asia region and the Philippines falls under their jurisdiction). Based on the stamping number, they will confirm with finality if the filter is original or fake.
Here are the answers to some of your questions:
Country of Origin: All of the manufacturing plants for Fleetguard indicate except for the plant in China. It does not put "Country of Origin" upon the request of some dealers in Asia. I will have to confirm regarding if this particular number was produced there.
Filter not completely sealed in plastic: Depends on the filter. Some are sealed in "shrink wrapped" plastic while others are just placed in plastic. Some are just placed in boxes without any plastic wrapping.
Lack of crimps: I have to see the actual filter. This might be a fake or a factory defect.
Cut open: This is a fake. Fleetguard has a picture of the actual cutaway. I will ask for a pic from the technical department in Singapore and post it here.
Labels: Due to rampant counterfeiting, Fleetguard revamped its label designs entirely. I will try and get the specs and post it here.
