Mineral , semi synthetic or fully synthetic?

I appreciate the feedback sir. Planning to use this since its cheaper vs sa mobil 1 super 2000. Theyre both semi synthetic and i believe as im reading this thread shell and mobil are good oils.

Just wanted to use these oils to get a better protection for my old engine. 14 years and counting.

i am a user of shell hx7 5w40 on our 2007 altis. although nakaka-isang change oil pa lang ako using this oil dahil kakabili lang namin nung altis last year. shell hx5 kasi yung gamit sa pajero namin. ok naman sya kaya shell na lang din ginamit ko dun sa altis.hehe

so far ok naman. satisfied naman ako sa responsive ng engine. napaparanoid lang ako dahil sa vic ang gamit ko na oil filter. walang mabiling baldwin sa las pinas. kahit na yung bosch e wala din.

pero sa next change oil namin e i will try another oil. nagmahal na kasi yung hx7 sa area namin. hahanap pa ako ng mura na ok.

My experience with Toyota Otis is, they accomodate the oil and oil filter that you bring. They will NOT charge you corkage fees UNLIKE Subaru. You will need to sign a waiver form though.

Is it a huge risk to sign the waiver? I do want to keep my warranty eligibility intact. I'm keen on bringing my own mineral oil since toyota only offers 20w-50 for mineral, which I believe is too thick for new engines. My 1.3e a/t vios is nearing the 5k mark.

What mineral oil do you plan to use ? I'm not aware of a less viscous mineral oil other than Honda (Idemitsu) 10W-30 mineral.

To be on the safe side (and so it will not be used as a cause in cases of warranty claims), its better to bring your own supplies after the warranty lapses.

Meron ako for ford pag ang thread 3/4-16. BT223 for ford focus gas engine, fiesta, escape.

B2 para sa everest, ranger.

Escape 2010 2.3 displacement. Sure na yan BT223 pwede? Baka pang Escape 2.0 or 3.0 model yan.

try mo delo gold ultra o kaya shell rimula R4x parehas na 15w40 yan...
or mobil delvac 15w40

pwede naman ang diesel engine oil sa gas... pero if you want gasoline specific, mas mahal usually ang price nang gas vs disel engine oil.
since 4 liters lang naman ang need mo, i suggest wag mo na tipirin sir,
pwede ka mag royal purple (10,000 OCI) or liquily moly mos2 oil
both are priced at around 550 pesos per liter.

Oo sir maganda nga daw DGU & R4x kahit sa gas engines. Will go for the casa provided oil for now, para di na maging issue in case na kelangan ko warranty.

If the oil is made locally, the thinking is that its a Caltex repacked oil.

But the FS oil the casa was using is labeled made in China so it might be a different brand or supplier.

May dilemna ako eh. I bought a second hand car, ee90 toyota with a 2e engine. Kaso, di dn alam nung pinagbilhan ko kung ano binato ng mekaniko nyang engine oil.

The question, anu implications if i get the viscosity wrong? Kakatok ba?

Also, anu b magandang oil for my 2e since it has 100k on its odo? 10w30? Brand mga sirs?
