I think mas mataas price ng Delo 400. Price yan ng DGU.
may nakausap akong owner ng shop kanina, I ask him about oils... ang sabi niya kahit na FS oil pag diesel engine as much as possible mga 7K OCI. pag gas engine kahit 10K OCI okay lang.....
if we factor in the filter used, you can extend your oil change interval to 10,000 to 12,000 KM easily by simply using a high quality, heavy duty oil filter. filtration is the key to extended oil change interval. whether you are using mineral based or fs oils. diesel rigs tend to operate dirtier than petrol rigs so tendency is shorter interval for diesel rigs.
its the quality of diesel that we have here in the PH that is dirty. For some reason its not as well refined compared to other countries. hence the more need for quality filters. fuel filters my fleetguard and baldwins are superb. plus they are less expensive over oems.
or the shop owner is still using VIC, or ordinary over the counter filters. these kind of filters only lasts for 5,000 to 6,000 KM. going more than that is pushing it. plain old marketing strategy why its lifespan is so short, this way you would be forced to visit the dealership and have your oil changed.
using heavy duty oil filters plus fully synthetic oils like RP or Mobil one will easily allow you to go 10,000 to 15,000. check out some used oil analysis from bob the oil guy. look for the mobil 1 0w40, this is one superb oil.
Hi fellow tsikoteers, Tanong Lang PO. Does anyone know the difference between ford ranger and mazda bt 50? Kasi oil change ng ford ranger every 5k and mazda bt50 is every 10k. What is the difference why mazda is every 10k? Mazda uses mineral oil.
Yes. Heavy duty oil filters has 4 times dirt holding capacity than regular over the counter filters. A regular filter will only last for 5,000 KM at the most, unlike its heavy duty counterpart which is at 10,000KM. Instead of 2 oil change service, once lang with HDOF. 7 liters of oil (rough estimate on a diesel rig) versus 14 liters. thats money, time and effort saved going to the dealership.not to mention its environmental benefits.
Difference with oil filter used.
As per J's filter website:
Ford Ranger
JS Filters :: Application Cross Reference and Image for JS : Oil (Spin-on) : C101J
04.02~01.04 2.5L MD25 Engine C101J - oil filter
07.00~04.02 2.5L MD25TI Engine C101J - oil filter
Mada BT-50
JS Filters :: Application Cross Reference and Image for JS : Oil (Spin-on) : C115J
01.07~ 2.5L C115J
Although may entry din yung Ranger under the C115J, this is the confusing part.
03.07~ 2000 Truck C115J
10.99~04.02 2500 MD25NA Truck C115J
10.99~06.00 2500 MD25TI Truck C115J
they are of different thread. 3/4 16 and m24x1.5. Checking the part number of the actual filter installed on each vehicle will help us further determine what to use on it. we can easily cross reference the part number. This way we can be more precise with what filter to use.
When it comes to their oil change interval, I'm speculating its a marketing gig. I've noticed in many threads that Ford seems to have a stiff price tag when it comes to their PMS cost. Both can actually go 10,000 KM as long as filters used on both are heavy duty. Motorcraft is the OEM filter used for the Ford, for the Mazda, am not sure.
Tanong lang guys. I found an original 4m40 oil filter dito sa house. Most likely 8 years old na 'to pero sealed naman ung ilalim, Pwede pa naman to gamitin no? Sayang din eh, 2.4k sa casa.
