    - Replace coolant
    - Replace transmission fluid
    - Replace brake fluid
    - Replace differential gear oil

about oil grade, the number before letter "W" practically does not matter because we do not have Winter season. instead, you should consider the working temperature range of the engine oil.

next, ask yourself what type of oil you want -- mineral oil, semi-synthetic, or fully synthetic.

Mineral oil - Replace every 5,000 km or 6 months, whichever comes first
Semi-synthetic - Replace every 7,500 km or 9 months, whichever comes first
Fully synthetic - Replace every 10,000 km or 12 months, whichever comes first

ang gamit ko now is Fully synthetic, Petron Ultron Race 5W40, API Grade SN.
Thanks sa advise sir! Getting ready for a barrage ng fluid changes actually.. budget nalang ang inaantay.. sponsor anyone? Although ung mga madadali na pde DIY, nagawa na like brake pads and fluid and power strering fuel level.. air filter( na napakadumi by the way)

Ung tranny oil talagang for changing na kasi hirap na change gear when revs are even slightly higher.. pero ung enginr oil kasi golden pa ang kulay pero borderline low level.. kaya im thinking of topping up lang.. kaso nga... aun.. di ko alam anu binatong oil sa kanya..

    Anyway, BTT...

So 15w-40 SH pde na pala perp change oil na dn para included na ang oil filter hehe

Kung wala pa budget, pwede naman top up, use mo medyo low viscosity pero huwag patagalin, a month use is okey lang, change after.

This won't hurt if top up only for just a short time, better than low oil level for a short time...

its in the manual, atmospheric temp chart shows different from the one presented here *50 degC viscosity 50, 40, 30, 20 all works the same hunky-dory. lower figure result in better fuel economy, so its up to you what to choose

in addition it indicates SG or HIGHER thats why in the service manual SL is recommended. btw, the letter S stand for suitable to SPARK operated engines or in other word gas engines. the letter following S indicates the latest or the better oil compared to the other & interpreted chronologically thats why SN is better than SL

Hi sirs.. just wanted to throw two questions here

    1. any harm in switching from different brands of engine oil per interval (no flushing solutions involved), am using a 5000 km spread.
    2. any current/previous users of Mobil super 1000? parang medyo mura na kasi sya sa ace hardware (and mobil brand at that)

AFAIK, no bad effects on using different oil brands every oci kahit hindi use flushing oil. As much as possible, use sae grade nearest to what's recommended sa car mo.

How much ang Mobil Super 1000 sa ACE? Ano sae grade niya?

    Manila:
    Average Low = 23C
    Average High = 32C
    Record High = 42C
    Record Low = 17C

    Baguio
    Average Low = 11C
    Average High = 25C
    Record High = 28C
    Record Low = 6C

Climate of the Philippines - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So tama lang to get SAE xW40. where x can be any value since we do not have Winter season, i.e. 5w40, 10w40, 15w40.

Which do you think is better, Mobil Super 1000 or Zic A? SAE 10w40 ang Zic A at semi synthetic Korean made oil, low viscosity sa start up.
