Mineral , semi synthetic or fully synthetic?

question lang po mga sirs:

ang oil capacity ng sasakyan ay 6 liters, pero during change oil, nasa 5.20-5.50 lang nailalagay and sakto na sa dip stick, yung sobra po bang oil pwede ko pa gamitin sa next change oil? mga 3-4months ang tagal para 5liters na lang bilhin ko? or di na pwede at contaminated na?

or what you can do to avoid getting those excess, is to use the biggest filter you can find for your ride. in this way the supposedly excess can still be accommodated due to the larger size of the filter hence higher capacity.

my ride will only take 3.6L of oil using stock oil filter, i used bigger filter, now its total capacity is 4L spot on. atleast now wala nako butal. I just hate it kapag may butal. hehehe

ahh... if thats the case, stick with the bigger filter. dont use a smaller one. if i may ask sir what type of vehicle are we talking about? im curious what aftermarket filters are compatible with your ride.

ah ok. same thread as for my Honda. m20X1.5, so far the biggest one i can think of for your ride are the following:
Baldwin B7243 - total oil capacity 400ml
Fleetguard LF3528 or Baldwin B166 - total oil capacity 400-500ml, these two have a bigger outer diameter, around 3.6-3.7 inches which based on the Baldwin site, will fir your ride as it cross reference B173-S which has a outer diameter of 3.6in.

i still have a couple of these lying around the house.

Yes, Fs to Mineral or vice versa pwede.

yeah, perfectly okay to back to mineral coming from fs.

thicker oil will make your engine quieter. yan ginagawa ng buy and sell sa diesel engine. para tahimik.

CI-4 rated oils contain more additives compared to lower rated oils.

same question, planning on buying too. May nakita ako sa sulit 900+ lang yung gallon, at meron ding 1120 ang isang 5L container...ayoko pasigurado eh...

Around P1200 din ang bili ko sa 5L bottle. Not sure if P1100 or P1200. May less 100 pa kasi nung bumili ako. Para sure, sa Caltex ka mismo bumili.

thanks cb. i think 40 viscosity grade is already thick enough. pwede pa umakyat ng 50?
