Your Montero is still a old school diesel it does not meat the 29000psi threshold for the cutoff for using 2T oil. I always go on facts not opinion.

http://www.diesel-art.com/manuales/M..._triton6Ad.PDF You make 180mpa which is around 26000psi.

Only a few high end cars have pressure high enough and that were designed for EURO 4 fuel will not need it. The newer KIA common rail diesels are about the only exception to the rule. They are just over 29000psi to squeeze power from a smaller displacement engine.

Put it in, run it and see if you can fell a difference. But it's not in anyway going to hurt your engine.

And yes you can use it in the rangers engine and the Everest common rail engines. They only make 23000psi.
Ok, i change my question. Is the all new 2012 rangers 2.2 engine pressure less than 29k psi?

    Matrabaho naman ito haha.

    DIY DIESEL INJECTOR SERVICE

Much better daw than to pour it directly sa tank.

Not sure if applicable to the Ford Ranger but found this article in the net (halatang walang magawa )

    http://www.celtictuning.co.uk/pages/...DCi_140bhp.pdf

Seems that they share the same engine. Rail pressure is 1600bar (23206psi) so pasok naman. IMHO, I'd try using the recommended mixture for gas engines first, just to be on the safe side HTH.

    Nagparehistro ako kanina,
Bago umalis ng bahay naglagay muna ako ng 2T (petron)...
    ..with correct ratio..

Ang opacity ay 1.0 at no black smoke.

    4d56 Turbo 1997 spacegear.
5months old na ang langis ko, with dirty airfilter at nasa 4500Kms. na ang mileage ng langis.. ( i keep track all my change oils, next month ko na lang sila papalitan ng sabaysabay)

    Good day!

I would like to ask kasi di ba may reserve na 10 liters yung tank by the way may van is delica 1992 halimbawa mag karga ako 800 pesos so mga 18-19 liters meaning atleast 95 ml of 2T di ba i add ko pa ba ung reserve na 10? bali 29l = 145 ml of 2T? tama b computation ko and kahit anong 2t po ba basta hindi synthetic medyo malakas vibration ng van ko and pag umaga pag cold medyo umuusok pero pag uminit na wala namang smoke. Answered prayer to if it will fix some issues. Galing ni TS

i had no problems adding 2t to my 15 year old 1st gen sportage, but a bit of warning to those who wants to risk using 2t in their old diesel veh(esp those used cars from other countries), before adding 2t, be sure to check your fuel tank for rust or gunk, if present, have your fuel tank and the fuel line from tank-to-filter rehabilitated first. adding 2t will loosen all dirt and rust which will accumulate in your filter but some may pass and will do damage to your injection pump... as what happened to my brother's veh which experienced an injection pump seizure due to dirty fuel after 2 months using 2t. they traced the dirt coming from the rusting inside of the fuel tank.

Just use a new filter, preferably bosch, balwin, fleetguard or any other high quality.

diesel fuel tank rusting is not common on locally bought or regularly used vehicles, it is mostly found on imported used cars that have been sitting at junkyards for many years before being shipped here. what is common here is mixed dirt and water(gunk) you get this from fuel stations with contaminated fuel tanks. the dirt/water mixture usually stays at the bottom of your fuel tank until gunk accumulation plus the loosening-up of rust due to introduction of 2t will start contaminating your fuel line and filter. in my brother;s case it took only 2 weeks for the filter to clog thats when the veh started to chug like a pump boat or something like a vw beetle. he changed the fuel filter and the chugging disappeared but the symptoms returned right after 2 weeks, changed the filter for the 2nd time.... until the injection pump seized, i guess some of the gunk got passed or have been passing for a time now. but dont worry, local shops can check your tank and they know how to clean/rehab fuel tanks.... and use quality fuel filter.

sir Ry good day! Is my computation right or wrong? do i need to compute also the fuel tank reserve which is 10 liters so if i will fill up for 10 liters + the reserve = 100 ML of 2T?. Another question which will be first to fill the 2T or diesel? Thanks Sir!

First thing to do. Consult your manual if what is the total capacity of your fuel tank. If manual is not available, Mr. Google is available to help you. If it not available in Google, take your vehicle to the nearest gas station for a full tank. If hindi mo pa rin ma-gets, enroll ka uli sa Grade 1 this June.

For 2T+Fuel computation, read page 1.

2T or Diesel first?- It was mentioned for the nth time if you read the thread.
