I've also been using 2t mixed with diesel for years but on non-crdi engines (i.e. isuzu 4ja1 and 4jb1). No detrimental effects so far...

Not to burst everyone's bubble but...

Just read a 2015 scientific research /study using proper test methods... Everything kasi I read about 2t and diesel mix is on owners forums and mostly user reviews...
2-Stroke Oil In Diesel – A Technical Study

This study was done on a modern crdi engine... Although using same 200:1 ratio... On our thread here it was mentioned to use 400:1 or even 600:1 for crdi engines especially with high pressure European injectors.

Results may change your mind on continuing use of 2t with diesel. Traces of unburned zinc and other minerals eventually will foul up and clog injectors over time.

The study seems very credible considering it was done in a laboratory with controlled testing conditions and conforms to technical/scientific standards including engine dyno). For sure, variables like driving style, traffic conditions, environment/weather etc are eliminated in the study.

    Hmmm... Napapaisip din ako tuloy....

P.S. -- the study tested jaso fc 2t but our thread recommends jaso fa and fb which is pure mineral oil unlike jaso fc which has a synthetic content that leaves unburned residues.

Hmmm. I've been using 2T for years pero sa old school 4D56. Sana wala naman bad effect kasi sabi din dito hindi recommend mag lagay ng 2T sa mga CRDI engines.

For CRDI engines at least, there's a 50-50 chance that you'll end up with expensive repairs either way. In which case, I think I'll just save my 2T money and do my best to use only a Diesel fuel source I can trust. And yes, don't forget the all-important regimen of regular and preventive maintenance.

My take is that, if Diesel engines were meant to take in 2T oil, it'll probably be in a proper textbook somewhere... but it's not.

i stopped adding long time ago kasi napansin ko madaling mag-accumulate yung dumi sa element type fuel filter ng sasakyan ko. kung canister type ang fuel filter at hindi masyadong restrictive ang filtering medium ng filter ay ok lang. maganda naman epekto sa lalo sa andar kaya sa ELF trucks ko at mga traktora ko sa bukid pinapalagyan ko pa rin.

I'm using 2t on my common rail d4d grandia. Noticed nawala yung tugtug ng engine every time I started and shut off the engine. Lubricates talaga. 1:250 ratio. Once a month

Ako rin di ko natapos magback read and using a isuzu cw. Bago rin yung akin wala pa 1 year. I have tried it. Yung shudder ng engine pag pinapatay yung most noticeable skn. Since bago pa, every other full tank lang ako naglalagay. Di pa naman sobra usok kasi i have EFG and blanked EGR plus i clean the tail pipes once in a while.

I use shell vpower diesel and shell 2t.

    Hesitant rin ako before.

Happy with 2T sa Commuter ko. Pag finloor ko gas pedal kaunting white smoke lang nalabas. Unlike pag pure diesel itim talaga

Diesel owners that add 2T oil to fuel
