Saang PTT shop ka bumili bro? The PTT shops that I've been to sell 2T oils on 200ml bottles only which do not even show/have any labels about JASO rating.

I am now on my 2nd liter of 2T, which is a NATIONAL decarbonizer-scented FB rating. It costs only P105/liter but it works just fine as with my 1st liter (Petron FB, P126/liter).

Rectifying my earlier post when I was only in my first 200ml of usage re: exhaust tailend pipe soot - it is no longer sticky and very easy to wipe off - parang black powder na lang.

Further, just want to share... In a parking lot, my Sportivo '05 was side by side with a Starex VGT, both were on idle. Was I very proud to see that the Starex was idling more roughly/noisily! My Sportivo was way much smoother, in fact its radio antenna was barely moving though it was fully pulled out.

After almost 200km adding shell 2t to my '94 l200 4d56t, I noticed less engine noise and smoke.

Mahal nga lang compared sa FB 2t.
I also saw the Castol Activ 2T. However, the 1 liter bottle didnt indicate the Jaso rating. sold at 120/L

Otep - Doc, how much did you get yours?

It's been a while since I bought any, Make sure you back read a bit, It does not matter what JASO rating you use, something I found out a little while back. It's simply because you get recirculated oil back through your combustion chamber via the crankcase ventilation already and recirculated soot and carbon via the EGR. The tiny amount form a 200:1 ratio has no measurable harmful effects so you can use any rating you want but I still would not use synthetic.

Just buy what the cheapest and most available in your area.

dlvdoc, my 4m40 has a blocked EGR already. if FC is better, then i might look for FC rated 2T.

Egr is only have of it, if your vehicle does not have a oil catch can then it just the same, since vehicles have been sucking down oil vapor of all kinds for years the small percent your getting from 2T in your fuel will have almost zero measurable difference. So the JASO rating issue does not matter.

The only long term effects are a longer running injection pump and cleaner nozzles. Old school Japanese diesels simply were never designed to run on low sulfur diesel fuels. We should get a video of two identical engines side by side running one with 2T one without so none users can see the difference.

There is also a little android phone and iphone app for a sound meter that can let you measure the difference in which engine is running quieter. I know when I first got my Elgrand I was a bit disturbed to see it shaking like that so I added the 2T, problem solved.

The rangers common rail pressure is in the range that you can use 2T, many factors could be causing the symptoms the above member are experiencing including what brand fuel he was using at the time.

Been using this for almost 300kms, engine feels smoother.

Question Doc: is it ok for my Pajero 4m40 to use this, I mean I haven't blocked the EGR valve modification something <-- thats my concern actually. Its fairly stock...

Old school JDM diesels are the ones that need it the most.
