pansin ko kasi parang nabawwasan after calibration..pero pag nagkamali ako ng shifting, umuusok p rin..worry ko takot tuloy ako dumaan ng c5 kasi ang daming nanghuhuli.. Talagang normal lang na may konting usok, lalo na sa acceleration. Kelangan lang pumasa yan sa smoke emission test equipment.
Maaring pasado din naman ang car mo sa smoke test, at hindi mo lang alam.

Hi Dieseldude. Need your help. I was one of those who unfortunately got my Pajero submerged (near the roof for ~ 6 hrs) last September. Got it running after ~2 weeks but has had some problems once in a while. Last wednesday, after a few minutes of drive, the AT light started blinking so after driving for awhile to drop off my brother, i went back home. But i noticed that it was not shifting correctly already and it had a hard time getting up our driveway which has a small incline. I checked the ATF and it was full. I started it again, the blinking stopped and the power is back. Yesterday, we changed the ATF but didn't help much. The problem is intermittent. What should i check/do? Thanks.

I would check the throttle potentiometer for loose/broken wires. This is a black round thing with three wires, mounted on top of the injection pump's control lever. Don't loosen the 2 mounting screws or adjust it's position; this is critical. This device detects throttle position and sends a signal to the transmission control unit for proper shifting.
Update us if your fix is successful.
sir,meron kasi ako problema ngayon, its about the diesel injection pump ng toyota lucida ng office...ganito kasi ngayari...after ondoy eh ginawa palang bangka ung oto,inilusong sa baha after nun nag hard starting siya, so pinatingin sa mekaniko,ayun di check yung makina,wala daw kuryente yung injection pump so tumawag ng electrician,check yung computer box baka kasi yun ang sira,eventually nagkakuryente,di inistart ayun gumana yung makina,after ilang test, biglang naputol yung timing belt..nakow...binuksan yung overhead, putol ang camshaft, baluktot 3 valve and may tama yung 3 valve lifter,so pinaayos yun at bumila ng mg pyesa.so ok na,eto ngayon bago pa pala nabaha eh nakargahan ng gear oil yung makina instead na engine oil...bumili na rin ako ng surplus na injection pump ang kaso hindi daw consistent yung buga ng krudo...ipa calibrate daw...ang kaso wala nagcacalibrate dito sa cavite na alam ko puro mechanical lang, sabi naman dun sa isang calibration shop ipa check ko daw yung computer box kasi baka yun daw ang sira, tanong ko lang paano ba ang gagawin ko? cant read back kasi medyo mahaba na itong thread and medyo nagmamadali na ung boss ko...is it the injection pump ba or the computer box?ano pwede remedy or solution sa prob na ito...tia

my ride is a '02 crosswind xuv turbo a/t with 61k odo reading. eto po ang problema ko - above 2.5 rpm hirap ung makina, kaya hanggang 80-90 kph lang ang takbo nya. pero below 80-90 kph, smooth running naman. kaya lang, kahit nakatigil lang at i-rev, hirap sya above 2.5k rpm, parang kinakapos o nag-hehesitate, erratic ang rpm between 2.5k and 3.0k when the pedal is floored. when running at that rpm range, parang naghihingalo.
bago ko naramdaman yun, i had an oil change at 60k sa suking service station using shell helix diesel plus 10w-40 last september. i first noticed this problem when i went to lucena last week, while at slex. pagbalik ng manila, chineck ko engine oil tsaka ko lang napansin lampas sa max level yung langis (halos kalahatian ng min max range ang inilampas). pina-drain ko sa mekaniko hanggang max lang. medyo nag-improve, pero ganun pa din, hirap pa din sa 3.0k rpm, di ko mapalampas dun..gaano ba kasama na lampas sa max ang engine oil, especially with turbo?
last week, pinalitan ko yung air filter ng original sa walco. pero ganun pa din. ano kaya problema, tsaka ano dapat gawin? any advice will surely be appreciated.

Every morning daw po kc hirap daw istart.kelangan pa daw po i heater many times, atleast 20 times para mag start.. ok naman daw po battery and starter kc malakas naman redondo kapag try starting ilang beses, kaso hirap talaga magstart..
pina check narin po namin sa mekaniko..ok naman daw po battery..check nya rin glow plugs and ok pa naman daw po. actually kapapalit ko lang po ng glow plugs last 4 months..hindi naman cguro loose compression kc d naman nagbabawas engine oil..lagi po namin minomonitor oil dipstick and d nagbabago oil level for almost 3 months na.
kapag nagstart na engine after several heating cycles, ok naman po takbo.wala naman pong problema while engine running..sa starting lang po talaga..odometer reading po is 131640kms..
btw, wife ko lang po kc nagsastart ng engine every day,,she just reported about the problem when i called..ofw po kc me sir and it happened our vessel docked in vancouver.. Salamat and nagkaron dn ng chance makapag internet kaya kayo po kagad naisip me hingan ng advice..Ive been reading your thread always pag nasa pinas po me kc interesado po me abt auto engines..marine engr po kc me..

Btw sir, every morning lang po hirap istart ang engine..pero kapag nag start na ang engine and nakatakbo na..throughout the day hindi na po hard start..ngayon lang po kc namin na experience starting prob..since nabili namin unit last may..

minsan po pag mabilis ang takbo, nabibitin.

ano po ang dapat kung gawin?
magpalit na po ako ng fuel filter, at sinunod ko rin ung instructions sa pag bleed sa manual.
dadalhin ko na po sana sa casa, pero hintay ko po muna advice mo.

- Check actual condition of glow plugs kung ok ito maski na napalitan mo na. Maraming palpak na glow plugs binenenta sa market.
- Verify mo din kung may current sa glow plugs during "on" and "start position" ng ignition switch. Baka walang kuryente.
- Kung walang current, check glow plug relay and glow plug electrical circuit.
