Sir DD,
its a D4EB engine , Santa Fe 08 Model.

currently on a break in after a major overhaul, resleeved/new piston/ rings mechanics advise is just to take it slowly since break in period pa. so he said just stay below the 60kph speed as much as possible.

i noticed that now it has a very sluggish performance, before, kasi when i reached around 1.5k rpm, my speed has already reached around 40kph but now parang ambagal nya gumalaw as in parang gapang , dati kasi i seldom reached 2.5k rpm when i drive but now halos umabot ako ng 2.5k rpm before i reach a speed f 50kph. Do you think dahil the sleeve and pistons are still setting in as what my mech said? will this still improve?
The sluggish performance is not because the car is still on break-in. Something is wrong with your car. It needs to be scanned for faults so that you can have an idea of the real problem, and you will not be guessing.

Hi Diesel Due.
My ride is a 2004 Toyota Revo. I want to have the diesel engine calibrated. I am living in Cainta. My usual calibration shop Zexel is not anymore operating.
Do you have any suggestions on any other recommended shops near my area?

ask ko lang sir kung ilang liter ng oil ang bibilin ko para sa pagpapa-change oil ng Toyota Innova E 2006 Manual Diesel Engine, :D sobrang newbie ako sa mga sasakyan, wla kasi manual ung nabili kong second hand Innova. at ano po kaya brand ng langis ang kailangan kong bilin. TIA

I own a 2010 Innova VVT-i and the owner's manual has info for both gas and diesel variants. The diesel engine requires 6.9 liters of engine oil with ratings of G-DLD-1, API CF-4 or CF (You may also use API CE or CD).

Toyota Genuine Motor Oil is the brand that came with the car from the factory but you may use other brands of your choice provided that it meets the required ratings mentioned above.

TGMO is a repacked Caltex oils. You can find better specs than that. Suggest to use CI-4 rated oils.

If you can find CJ-4 oil, that would be even better than CI-4, especially now that Euro 4 fuel is becoming a standard here.

But if your fuel is lower than Euro 4, CJ-4 will be less suitable as the fuel will have more than 50ppm sulfur content, unless you're ok with a more frequent oil change.

7 liters lahat nilagay ko sa innova diesel ng ate ko. mejo lampas lang ng napakakonti sa max level....won't hurt, imo. kasi bababa naman yung level in between min and max level kapag umaandar na.

kesa naman may nakaimbak na 100 ml sa storage ko.

Mga boss I have a crosswind 53k km and I have done everything except adjust valve clearance and check injector spray pattern. Pero parang piling ko may onting reduction sa power from dati lalo na pag naka aircon.

Marami na kaya carbon nito sa loob? Thanks

Mga sir/s patulong naman po.

My car is adventure 2011, 33k pa lang ang mileage Nya. Lately nararamdaman ko na parang pigil ung takbo nito pagkashift ko ng gear na parang nachochoke tapos magnonormalize sya. Pinatignan ko ito sa casa inadjust lang ung clutch pero kinabukasan ganon pa rin. Last week pinalitan ung repair kit, pinalitan ung fluid nito at inadjust ung clutch, pero after naming itest drive, tumigas ung clutch.

Kahapon nagpalit ako ng clutch lining, pressure bearing and flywheel bearing. Ung clutch na tinanggal although gastado na e di pa naman umaabot sa mga pin nya at kita pa ang mga canal nya. Di na pinalitan ung pressure plate kasi wala raw tama at maayos pa. Nagpalit din ako ng fuel filter kahit kapapalit ko Lang nung last October at itinune up at ibinleed. Pero ganon pa rin takbo nya na parang nabibilaukan ng konti. Ang sabi ng mekaniko baka raw kailangan ng icalibrate ung injection pump nito. Ano po kaya ang talagang problema nito.

Yung sa navara ko ganyan din. Me time pa 80 kph Lang ang takbo. Yung mga basis sabi sa casa fuel filter, fuel quality Baka me halo, air filter madumi. Sakin nagpapalit ako air filter every 5k. Pag nag fail lahat ipachek mo cleaning Ng egr. Teka sa Mits casa ka ba pa service?
