You are a Guinea Pig for GW cars whether you like it or not. Don't be in DENIAL.

If things go Bad, it's your money, not ours.

If GW should leave the country bec. of Poor Sales, it's your problem, not ours

    The facts presented are true.

Buying from a newcomer brand is a very high risk venture- hence the term Guinea Pig. Ask the owners of Fiat, Renault, Peugeot and other orphan brands how hard it is to get parts and service.

That's the reality one should understand before parting with your hard-earned money.

i dont consider myself a guinea pig. because it has been proven for so many years already..maybe not there in the philippines but somewhere else. making it new to the philippines does not mean, it is still in the experimental stage.

if and when they leave our country, it will still not be a problem because i am based in china. i can easily get the spare parts and bring it there.

yah i think there should be more risk-takers here like rockiee_s. bili na kasi kayo ng great wall.

i still remember the day when hyundai was struggling to sell the CRDI Hyundai Matrix at less than 500K

eh ngaun, tignan nyo CRDi ang talk of the town.

I've seen several Chinese vehicles too in MIAS. GW products are some of them. Ang titigas ng pintuan nila, parang pag binubuksan ko you can see the cheapness of their products.

Tapos parang nakakailang hawakan, i-bang at kung anu-ano pa sa pintuan. Parang masisira din.

Their exterior DESIGN is okay, but I still find their quality questionable.

I'm not a Chinese vehicle hater. I find their designs great. They just need some improving in their quality and makes better though. That's all they need, and they'll surely succeed.

talaga? kasi yun ang isa sa mga unang tinitingnan ko when buying a car. and the cars they have in their North Edsa showroom, ok lahat. i tried the doors of florid, cowry, wingle and the coolbear. harap, likod pati ang trunk and all were perfectly closing or opening.

Kulang pa the Quality level of the Chinese cars at the MIAS carshow. Give it a few more years.

Okay naman lately ang quality ng Great Wall cars..

Sa designs nila eh medyo di parin orig pero the next batch of GW cars eh original ang designs nila.

Wala akong sinabing mahirap buksan o isara ang pintuan. Ang sinabi ko lang eh, ang titigas ng pintuan nila .... try to compare it sa mga jap vehicles or korean vehicles and you'll know what I mean.

Matigas siya tapos ang nipis pa ng metal na ginamit.

Lahat ng chinese vehicles, ganun. Kaya tignan mo rating nila sa crash test ... poor.

I guess when it comes to China-made, there are early adapters like rockiee_s, and there are the skeptics, like many of us. In the old days our fathers and grandfathers looked at Japanese cars with suspicion. Small and ugly compared to German and American-made.

In the late 80's it was our turn to doubt the quality and reliability of Korean. Now, Korean brands are giving the Japanese a run for their yen, and it's the US brands that are having trouble.

IMO, China cars are in the birthing stage. Kaya ang dami pang clones. Cheap ones at that. The manufacturers with a vision for better quality, dependability and originality will flourish while the ones that believe in cloning and staying cheap will flounder or even die.

Me? I'm at wait and see stage. I will wait for the Chinese car buying tribe to increase, while keeping an eye on reviews and developments in the market.

rockiee_s : Goodluck. I'm sure that your unit will still be a head turner since it's still new and rare in our streets.

Enjoy your coolbear. And, please do give your unbiased feedback regarding your unit.

    yes i will.

and if i am not really satisfied with its performance and is value for my money (almost 800k sya ha!), di ako mahihiyang magsabi ng mga bad experiences ko dito.
