Di naman po chief. Meron pa nga sa CarDomain na nakaka-220km/hr. Un ang astigin. Saka no harm done po nung ginawa ko, di ko naman po sa public road ginawa. Hehe. =D Pero AFAIK, as long as my tires are S306's, I won't dare try that again.

baka 2.0 ung engine nung nasa car domain kasi ang alam ko sa states 2.0 engine nung optra dun ehh!! ung akin tingin ko lalagpas pa ng 180 basta balik ko lang sa 15" ung mags ko, hirap na hirap kasi humatak sa 18" eh tas lapad pa nung mags ko!

Does anyone know how the sales of the Optra Wagon is doing? Wala kasi ako masyadong nakikita sa daan.

Up to notify future Optra buyers:

Pls. be informed na ung Audio HU ng Optra, specifically ung Blaupunkt with 5 discs changer eh wala na ung supplier nila dito sa Pinas. Common problem nitong head unit na 'to is nagja-jam ung rotors ng changer, causing a continous CD ERROR (kahit andar-patay pa tsikot mo). This will then require you to bring the unit in for servicing and since wala na ung supplier/service center dito sa Pinas, it would take 3 weeks to 2 months bago makabalik dahil dadalhin pa sa ibang bansa. As an addition, magkasama ung HU at changer so literally that means wala kang audio until maayos or mag-opt ka na bumili na lang ng bagong HU.

My service advisor told me na should you be buying an Optra anytime soon, make sure it's not this unit (ung 1 din ang irequest nyo). This is an accepted fault by GM and they're still finding a way to solve this issue. There was even one customer who recently bought an Optra unit and demands na isoli na lang pera nya dahil ayaw na nya sa unit only because of the HU. Reasonable due to the traffic conditions in the country. Who could hold his temper without music?

Bought a Kenwood KDC-MP4026V as a replacement. Great improvement in terms of audio clarity. Courtesy of LA Cars. Pagbalik ng stock HU (yup,pinaservice ang saken) tambak ko na lang siguro at ikabit in case ibebenta na ang sasakyan.

Yung optra ko dati naka Blaunpunkt na 5 disc indash.Minsan nag CD Error siya..Kaya ang ginagawa ko eject ko na lang ang CD then pasok ulit..

my optra is on its 3rd Blaupunkt CD changer. parang every service pinapalitan yung CD changer dahil ang bilis masira. same thing lumalabas CD error. At least free yung palit before. Right now i don't use its CD changer anymore, opted for an Ipod with cassete instead.

naranasan ko rin iyun cd error na iyan i thought na palpak iyun burn ko na music sa cd ko, dahil pag pinasok ko ng original na cd okay naman siya... naku pag nasira car stereo ko gastos na naman... tsk tsk tsk

This is worst than the CD ERROR just appearing because it can't load the disc. Ung CD ERROR po na 'to eh di na talaga maeeject ung disc unless ipa-service.

and ano ba engine nung optra wagon? 1.6 or 1.8? salamat po.

No more 1.8s this year. 1.6 nalang.

From reports, the new engine is somewhat more economical, but we haven't had any new wagon owners here yet.

Came from Chevrolet Alabang today and saw their new variant. Its a limited release of the new Optra SS 1.6LS. I think the SS stands for Super Sport. It has the same dashboard and interiors as the wagon which is gray. Front and rear lip, side skirts, a rear spoiler and a great looking set of 16s mag wheels . It retails at 793K for manual transmission plus another 40K for automatic. I hope they sell those magwheels as options soon .

Just saw that new Optra SS Wagon. ganda nga nung mags and kit. makes it look very european. I think the mags is similar to one that rota is selling. Makes me wanna keep the Optra.
