ngek! you're comparing optra sa lynx, sigurado ka? parts? geniune parts libre sa optra for 2 years or 30000km w/c ever comes first(100% quality over replacements parts) yung sayo.... replacement ba ang linalagay mo, naku lugi ka nagbabayad kana zero quality pa diba....... warranty? 3years or 100,000km w/c ever comes first din, yung sayo.... eh madaling ma void pag wear and tear ang cause ng problem, pag ito ang linagay sa evaluation, sayang naman yung binayad mo na extension...diba? its not suzuki verona, mali.... suzuki forenza yun

Optra the only car that the stereo is still running without the key...hehehe.Isa na yan sa mga defects ng Optra namin...
Second nung kakalabas lang sa casa may nakita kaming defect sa rim namin at tire hindi na pinalitan. They just told us that the insurance will take care of it.Im hoping nothing comes after these defects.

hero, ok, tnx anyways! i'll try to do what you said, hopefully, i can get this over with.
about the stereo, dili yan defect, ganan talaga ang design, it will shut down if you turn off the car, but if you turn the stereo on while the car is off, then it won't shut down automatically

What GM did was they penetrate the market in korea. second, optra was built and manufactured in GM Thailand with 100%pure american quallity and standards, aside from GM china,it is clearly that GM has this worldwide commitment globally not only in US, Europe, Autralia but also in Asia. the articles from C magazines re the optra actually are based all in facts, it was written by car enthusiasts sharing their opinion to the market. take their advices, if not satisfied visit chevrolet pasig for further clarifications. parts? no problem. GM are giving it for free for 2 years or 30,000km w/c ever comes first (aftersales service/ periodic maintenance service-that's parts and labor) imagine yung savings mo pag dating sa aftersales, how convenient diba, just bring your car in the casa(casa maintained) tapos pag labas mo wala kang babayaran. and with the warranty of 3years or 100000km w/c ever comes first grabe ang security mo ang ganda diba, wala kang babayaran even a single cent. kung mahal ang parts namin, hindi namin ibibigay ng libre yan sa mga 3,890 owners ng optra as of today and we're talking of genuine parts. Features of the optra ay napakadami, if your going to compare it spec by spec s competitors nya panalo ang optra with that price range, binusog natin ung car ng mga features with that prices range. I can give you a presentation baka makatulong s pag decide nyo. para sa my mga problems and concerns optra owners, if you have problems on your optra units dalin nyo sa chevy pasig aayusin lahat yan. Hmmm... ngayon ko lang pala nabasa ang post na ito...

    HERE GOES:

The Ford Lynx IS a rebadged Mazda 323 variant, but is not being phased out for another two or three model years (earliest is probably late 2005-2006).

Good sales and an old, inexpensive, and well-designed platform (better handling and stiffer than many newer compact class platforms), as well as features that cater well to asian tastes, are keeping this dinosaur alive, much like what happened with the B14 Sentra between 1996-2001.

The Lynx keeps the previous generation Mazda Protege interior and chassis, while having a body style and design all its own. As for parts and servicing, ALL Ford Service Centers carry parts for the Lynx, and, as these are usable for previous generation 323s, there isn't much hurry for them to stop stocking parts. Columbia Motors just stopped making Mazda parts, true, but there is a steady influx of Japanese and Asian parts on the market.
    __________

The Chevrolet Optra IS a Daewoo Nubira / Suzuki Forenza. All three cars share THE EXACT SAME body panels and interiors. The ONLY COSMETIC OR MECHANICAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE THREE IS THE FRONT GRILLE. The names for the cars may have changed, but the manufacturing processes remain EXACTLY the same. Although the Chevrolet Optra is, by all accounts, a competent automobile, it is still a generation behind the current Lynx, and two generations behind current Japanese products.

The Optra, as a Global Car, was developed in toto by Daewoo as the Nubira, with inputs from Italian Design house Pinifarinna (sp.?) and with suspension tuned by the Europeans, too. The Nubira was a good effort when it was first released, a competent car. With Daewoo dwindling in many Asian markets, GM picked the Nubira as the perfect vehicle to spearhead Chevrolet's advance into Asia.

One thing, though... the Optra is made in Thailand, while the Lynx is made in the Philippines. It has been noted that Philippine construction (vis a vis the Ford Lynx RS and the Nissan X-Trail) is exemplary, and in certain situations, may meet or exceed Japanese standards. There is a big question as to Thai quality control... almost as big as the conundrums we Nissan owners have suffered with Taiwanese quality control in the case of Nissan Yulon.

This is not to say Philippine construction is perfect... just that it may be more competent.

    __________

A warranty, by the way, is a warranty. Anything covered under warranty is replaced for free IF IT CAN BE PROVEN THEY WERE DEFECTIVE IN THE FIRST PLACE. Read the fine print in the warranties... they are ALL THE SAME.

If you are happy with your warranty, mr.puti... I am much happier with my 125,000km / 5 year warranty, and, when I have exceeded the warranty, the cheapness and availability of regular Lynx parts at any Ford dealer... at prices I find amazing for original parts... let alone dealership-sourced original parts.

Mr. Puti... be happy with what you have... but don't go picking a fight over your head... I am happy with my Lynx, but in NO WAY would I compare the quality and reliability to a Honda Civic or a Toyota Altis. Be happy with your Optra, but don't compare it to my Lynx until you actually know what you're talking about. :D

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Sorta OT but, I think Mr. Puti is from Chevrolet Pasig wherever that is and is most likely a salesman/officer there.

Even the grammar sounds like a used car dealer talk.
