Chevrolet Captiva [Merged]

Im a bit dissapointed with this car. Just 6 months use and the whole left side mirror just swings back and forth parang duyan. buti na lang they replaced as it was under warranty. Kaya nga lang after a month, the mirror itself (not the housing na) fell off . Jeez, talk about quality.

My 1st month w/ the captiva, my left sideview mirror got swiped by a jeepney, luckily it just folded w/ a little scratch. Another incident, I accidentally hit a drunk person (biglang humakbang pakaliwa) with my right view mirror & w/ a little luck it folded & thank God the man was not hurt, as i looked on my rear view, he was just surprised & smiled. Pero palagay ko galit yun. he he he. umiiwas nko sa kalyeng yun, bk bumawi, ala pa akong plate no. last January.

Just heard my brother in law bought a 2010 Chevy Captiva for his wifey.

Reason: wifey loves the Captiva's interior/exterior looks as well as the ride quality.

In less than two days, the Captiva's A/T transmission will not shift. It was towed back by the dealer.

In less than two days, the Captiva's A/T transmission will not shift. It was towed back by the dealer.

What's the conclusion from the dealer?
It happened with our toyota before, improper shifting is the verdict.
Luckily, we still don't have 2010 Captiva models released here in the Philippines & chevy said it will released the Traverse instead.

meron na ba nakagamit dito ng diesel tuning kit? digital plug and play which increases horsepower and also helps with consumption?

acrylic paint lang yun. yung side step 25K ata. i don't really remember pero sa casa ko pinakabit

Mga bossing, just got my captiva two weeks ago, actually im yet to drive it since im still here sa dubai. Maraming captiva owners dito sa dubai and mostly are europeans that is why i tend to chose this car over the others. Im about to get home this coming weekend and im planning to do some mods, ask ko lang po kung pwede ko bang ipakabit ung dvd unit head as additional accessories sa captiva? Di po ba mavovoid ung warranty nun? And can you please help me how to find a shop for the accessories of this car? Like ko kasi lagyan ng rain gutter o kaya ung silver linings para sa headlight and sa tail light, sory di ko alam tawag dun e. Hope you guys could help me about this. Thanks in advance and hope more and more captiva owners would sprout in this thread.

Anyway, kamusta naman po ung performance ng captiva niyo? Is it gas or diesel? Mine is gasoline e.

Congratz sa new Chevy mo. Paki read na lang nung mga previous thread para marami ka pang info na makuha, pro's & con's. Performance of my diesel captiva is great. My FC combined hway/city avg. 8.2km/li, while highway lang is from 10 sometimes 12km/li. First PMS will be next week.

tnx po, yeah, nabasa ko na po ung previous thread, in my opinion, balance naman ung pros and cons ng captiva e just like the other brands. i cant wait to drive by myself ung captiva. what brand of filter did you use? did you remove the old filter box? wala bang nadivert na sensor or something? mas responsive ba siya? di ba naiinitan ang filter sa area niya or may cold air pa directed to the filter. just curious.

i actually thought i answered this 2 weeks ago but looks like it did not send. anyway, natanggal nila yung kalampag sa likod after opening the plastic moldings. they tightened the screws and replaced some. ok siya for the first 2 weeks. ngayon, parang unti-unti may naririnig na naman akong ingay, parang sisiw sa likod- same thing when it happened before it deteriorated into kalampag. hopefully it wont deteriorate.

u can bring it to GM, theyll fix it under warranty.

gud day i just bought a diesel FWD captiva this march. using the triptronic mode i was able to make an average of 8.9Km/L. city driving ako ng mon-thurs and provincial highway trip via SLEX to batangas on thurs and sundays. im aiming to reach it on an average of 13KM/L. i'll share you my driving tips once na reach ko yun.

Just to add, to all those who bought CAPTIVA....Haven't you noticed a phenomenon? Merong captiva invasion sa daan. Dumadami ang captiva sa philippines. In my road travels every week from Manila to Batangas since early March, about 7-10 captiva's ang nakakasalubong ko sa daan. Isn't it a good sign that more and more people wanted to have what we have?

Sometimes as courtesy i even honk or flash a light to a fellow CAPTIVA owner on the rode pag nakasalubong ko. hope you guys do the same.:dude:

original captiva accessories wala sa banawe pero other accessories sa interior like seat covers, steering covers, extra cup holders, seat belt accessories, car stereos, extra speakers, extra lighting, air freshener, deodorizers, dvd players, cell phone holders, etc meron. Also fog lamps na suitable sa captiva meron din sa banawe.
ask any store dun but be sure to bring your captiva para makita nila technically ung size nung fog lamps.
