I've seen a 7 seater Captiva yesterday at Chevrolet North Edsa... additional 24k daw pag magpapalay ng 3rd row seats. Its not that spacious though especially if you're "that" tall. Hehe!

Sir Captiva nalang kayo... parang di na practical kung Outlander or CRV kasi mahal gasolina. Hehehe! Pero kung mani lang ang gasolina for you then go for the Outlander! Kami naman ang pinagpipilian namin bilin Captiva, Santa Fe or Carnival.

with 3rd row? is it locally made/ modified by Chevrolet phils.? malinis ba pagkagawa, fold flat din ba like the SF? did you take pics? no time kasi punta sa mania. i'm from pangasinan and they don't have that model here in dagupan. papost naman pics. this would be a nice alternative for the SF which is a bit pricey.

I still haven't seen a local Captiva with the 3rd row seats, but the Captiva was really designed to have 3rd row seats, this is the reason why it has cup holders at the back.
The extra compartment under the cargo room floor is actually the space where the 3rd row seats fold into in 7-seater Captiva models.

Do you mean locally installed "original" Captiva 3rd row?

From the internet, 7-seater Captiva sold in other markets...

Btw... where did you get those photos? Sana talaga may beige interiors ang Captiva dito satin...

3rd row looks ok. mukha siya santa fe mechanism. sana ganyan nga yung dito sa pinas. will check out chevy edsa or ask our dealer here in dagupan. may alternative na SFand mas mura pa kung di maafford SF. problem lang sana maayos yung kabitan ng net behind front seats na nasisira daw ang plastic.

saw the 3rd row seat sa chevy north edsa at the workshop area. the seats were locally made by seats r' us. it is made of fabric close to the one's in the captiva. matagal na daw sila gumagawa for chevy phils and the old expeditions third row. the one they made though for the captiva is not the fold flat type like the original but a fold and tumble type. ok lang height niya and legroom but not comfortable of course like other 3rd row seats. pwede siya fold lang but higher than the original kaya di siya flat. fold and tumble talaga. ito raw kasi request ng chevy. nakausap ko gumagawa ang sabi niya kaya naman gumawa ng fold flat kung yun gusto customer. the 2nd row seats were also modified to fold and tumble for easy access. nilagyan lang ng linkages/ cables para mapagana original configuration niya. sayang lang didn't get pics. kung papalagay ako i like better the fold flat one kasi mas malinis tignan.

The Chevrolet Captiva sold in the RP/ASEAN market is made at GM's plant in Thailand, its almost identical to the Captivas from GMDAT in Korea.

Because of the growing worldwide demand for the Captiva, Holden which gets GMDAT sourced Captivas had to temporarily source some Captivas from GM Thailand late last year while GMDAT's Captiva assembly line was being upgraded.

PS: According to a sales agent at a Chevy display at V-mall, he said they offer 3rd row seats for the Captiva, it costs something like P60K. I think this could be the version that folds flat into the floor.

hmmm... if this is the original 3rd row flat fold seen on the captiva in other countries then it really is better than the 3rd row being offered in chevrolet north edsa. san po yung chevrolet branch na nagooffer ng 3rd row worth 60k?

Gud day mga ser! since pinag uusapan nyo na din ang third row option. Me dedicated bang aircon vents for those 3rd row of seats in the captiva? since it has cupholders back there dapt a/c meron din. Todas pasahero pag summer outings??

I think parts wont be as much a problem with the captiva as with the venture, since the venture was manufactured in china and it left parts priority for gm phil. in limbo. the captiva being made in thailand will enjoy favorable parts availability.

Good news to captiva owners I think is that GM US is concentrating more on small vehicles like the captiva to boost theis sales in the states and abroard (Read it somewhere in the Manila BUlletin also closure of a lot of big SUV plants there). Meaning currently the captiva may not be the mainstream product, but very soon it will be. Meaning more parts sharing with more products, and more parts availability in the near future.

sir unfortunately lokbu ang captiva natin dito... walang siyang rear a/c vents and single aircon lang talaga sya unlike the santa fe na may rear aircon vents. Hehe!

was choosing between a captiva, tucson, sportage and santa fe. pricewise and feature wise, we got the captiva instead. santa fe would have been nice with the 3rd row seats but a bit pricey for us. the captiva will be primarily driven by my wife and she likes it. i drove it before i left and looks ok, good power, ride is comfortable, good a/c, very driveable. maganda siya and i hope di magkaroon ng problema. so far i liked the captiva. sana may makapagorder para sa atin ng 3rd row orig para maganda. i didn't like kasi ung 3rd row na local sa edsa dealer. will check-out seatmate when i come back maybe they could make one like the original.
