How much are you selling the seats? Ang magiging problem lang dyan are the second row seats, kailangan palitaan din coz hindi makakapasok yung uupo sa third row.

the 2nd row seats can be converted. no need to change them. there are locks under the seat that holds the seats down kaya di pwede tumble. you only need cables to pull them and a lever. pag na unlock pwede na tumble. pwede rin lagyan ng hydraulic rod to keep the seats up. kaya iconvert ito ng mga seatmakers. mine was done by seatmate.

Hi! I'm looking for a set of magwheels for my Captiva. Been thinking of 18 inch wheels. Does anyone here have pics of magwheels you installed on your Captiva? Also considering to use instead the OEM 17 inch wheels. !6 incher lang kasi yuing sa akin from the first models of Captiva dito sa Pinas.
Is anyone here selling or willing to sell their original 17 inch wheels and tires?

2 din stereo pwede daw sa Captiva. The AVT brand with GPS would fit. Try going to Winterpine in Araneta Ave.

Try checking www.lacaraccessories.com.ph... it's located in Makati City. I haven't been their but I've read a lot of good feedback about their products and services. Actually I'm planning to visit the place and have a look of the roof-mounted LCD montior for the Captiva rear passengers.

By the way, anyone here have already tried installing a roof mounted LCD monitor for the rear passengers that is still connected to the front DVD player with GPS, IPOD connectivity and etc...? any feedback please?

Just to add, to all those who bought CAPTIVA....Haven't you noticed a phenomenon? Merong captiva invasion sa daan. Dumadami ang captiva sa philippines. In my road travels every week from Manila to Batangas since early March, about 7-10 captiva's ang nakakasalubong ko sa daan. Isn't it a good sign that more and more people wanted to have what we have?
You should be proud!!!!!:grin2:
Sometimes as courtesy i even honk or flash a light to a fellow CAPTIVA owner on the rode pag nakasalubong ko. hope you guys do the same.:dude:

That maybe me you are blinking and honking at I do the same when i see one! Proud Captiva owner here...

I have been driving with Captiva now for a little over year.

There hasn't been any problems except one time when all the warning lights on the dashboard lid up. Faulty sensor and free replacement.

My SUV is 4x4 gasoline A/T and driving from Las Piñas City to Baler Aurora via SCTEX I managed to get a fuel consumption of 12.5km/1L. But I'm a foreigner and we have to actually study economical driving, compared to my wife behind the steering wheel the consumption would be 8.9KM/1L.

Anyway, great car and have still many kilometers to go.. Cheers.

BY THE WAY GUYS! How much are you paying for your insurance with aog?

Hi,

Just got a dark grey automatic VCDi Captiva. Named it war machine coz well, it kinda looks like him. We spent a lot of time deciding between the Captiva, CR-V and the Montero. Here’s a rundown of our pros and cons for the CR-V and the Montero.

CR-V
Great color (titanium)
Interior is tops with the armrest
Very executive-y
Only has 5 seats (bummer for family or barkada outings)
Front fascia is kinda weird
2.4 Litre GAS engine is expensive to run

Montero
Awesome exterior styling
7-seater with room at the back for luggage
Comes in lots of colors
In-dash computer display for tire pressure etc.
It’s too high though (good for floods), bad if you wear tight jeans (you’d almost always have to jump down)
Dashboard is a bit unimpressive with no room for a dvd player (new model fixes this)
You sit too close to the car floor. I guess it’s car-like. But I prefer a higher seat height especially for long hauls
I also noticed a lot of exposed undercarriage cables and tubing (under the wheelwell). I guess it’s because the Montero is a ladder-frame (Pickup based)

Now for the main event – The Captiva
7 seats (3rd row is a bit cramped though)
Auto-raising rear suspension (Keeps the Captiva at a good stance. Look at a CR-V fully loaded and you’ll see what I mean. I can’t get over this Captiva feature. Fantastic)
Tailgate window opens (easy to open and throw in stuff)
Hydraulics everywhere – From the seat folders to the hood lifter (nice touch)
Powerful (but you have to ask for it. Punch the pedal and you’ll fly!)
Got mine with a DVD touchscreen and a back camera (Very Very Handy esp since the camera has infrared)
Interior is better than the Montero, a bit lower than the CR-V but the seats are fantastic (cinema-like). The black finish inside is relaxing (Too relaxing that anyone on the front passenger side always falls asleep)
Lumbar support for the driver’s seat
Anti-theft system rocks plus 24/7 roadside support
I did a zero to 100 kmh and it was at about 9 seconds. Not sure if this is good or bad

I love the Captiva. It’s comfy, good looking, and with a 2.0 Diesel, powerful and economical. You just really have to come to grips with the engine noise (a bit more than the Montero. The Honda tops here because of the gas engine), bland handling and expensive service (Chevy service is good. Don’t know about before but they always give me a call after servicing War Machine). Oh yeah, probably a low resale value.

I suppose the Captiva appeals to people who want the perfect balance between looks, price, comfort and power. If you’re looking for a real looker, go for the Montero, If you’re a doctor, buy a CR-V. Otherwise, try out the Captiva. It won’t stoke your ego, it won’t make you popular, but you’ll definitely be driving with a smile on your face.

Just Had my Diesel Captiva serviced for 5,000km at Chevy Pasong Tamo, Makati. It cost me around Php 7,000. Anyone knows which Chevy Dealer Charges cheaper than this? Medyo namahalan kasi ako sa 7k. Also anyone had experienced yun pag start especially sa umaga (also sa hapon din after sitting for hrs), parang kinakapos sya sa krudo, medyo nag drop konti yung RPM nya for about 5 secs cguro, then medyo produce white smoke, then after nun, ok na. Chevy Makati reprogrammed the ECU to fix the issue, pero ganun pa rin kinabukasan na start ko sya.
