Be prepared for some sourgraping. Here goes:

Things about the 2.0 diesel with sunroof and start stop button:

    1. They say everybody wants a sunroof but nobody wants to use it. Im not too keen with this feature as I dont want dust and mosquitoes to get in.

    2. Re the start stop button, there have been some posts in other forums of horror stories about this, like taking over and driving off only to find out later that you left the key with the previous driver; or the start-stop button being inadvertently pushed by your child or girlfriend while driving at high speed, thereby causing you to lose power steering and brakes, etc.

    3. Turbo lag. Turbo kicks in only at 1700 RPM or higher.

    4. The need to do cleaning procedure or routine with diesel engines (this ive read in the manual).

    5. You have to warm up the turbo before driving off.

    6. You have to cool the turbo before switching off the engine.

BUT, they say the 2.0L Diesel version is a ROCKET!! Awesome acceleration!! That is, after you get past 1700 RPM.

I think Ill be happy na with my 1.8 AT petrol version even if the diesel comes along.

hmm.. quite too early for a turbo to kick in *1700rpm.. Maybe its the powerband entry. Mostly turbo wakes around *2k+rpm. And around 1,7krpm its like puting in some supercharger. if you know what i mean..

Been an avid car owner with a moonroof for quite some time now. Can't immagine my self driving a car without one. Got used to it since my ford ghia, my brothers mazda 2.0R and focus sport hatch. Maybe there's a lot of features that the cruze offers that made me sacrifice without it..

All diesel cars/vehicles are costly and highly maintenance but has a tougher built.. And much practical now a days.. Hopefully they wont (chevy) release their tdci soon .. But i heard but not sure if they will launch it this September.. Hope its bogus!

Interesting read... hope someone else can confirm that commonrail release this August. I have a friend kasi working a bit up in the org.chart in GM Makati but have not been advised yet as to when the commonrail will be released.

If it is brought here, then dang....... that's too much to resist considering that the closest competitor is a weirdly-facelifted Ford Focus.

*better prepare my money once the introduction date is confirmed*

I noticed that Im more forgiving of "singiteros", more tolerant of slow moving vehicles ahead of me. Eh kasi naman I dont have a clutch to operate and I dont have to keep downshifting all the time.

Sa highway, it seems that the Cruzes adaptive AT can read your mind, e.g., when you just want to leisurely cruise, or if you want to pass the car ahead of you.

I wont ever go back to manual transmission again!

Yup. i read the manual. And that the button on the right-beside the shift gear of the LT is the Vehicle Stability Enhancement System (VSES) with rollover Sensing Feature.. Wish they'd made it standard with the LS models too.

Yup, matic vehicles will cost a bit more for its PMS.. But some manufacturer offer it for free for 1yr. And for repairs, mostly for the major problems for example the transmision of the A/T, its going to be real bloody for the owner..
But everything from oils, fluids, and minor parts of the A/T & M/T are just the same and will cost the same except for the ATF of the A/T.. And don't worry about some major parts of your cruze while its still covered by their 3yrs/100kmph warranty promo. And try to avail their insurance with AOG in case some major calamity will happen (fingers Cross). Hope they can give you some great deals too..

thanks for the sharp points, sic...

at least na-set na sa isip namin ang expectations prior to any incident...

nga pala... kung free ba yung mga services, like PMS - ang nagiging understanding parang di gaanong inaayos, hindi pulido o di thorough ang pag check-up kasi free... is there reason to believe so?

Siguro nga. Pero talagang convenient ang AT kaysa MT, sa experience ko lang. Kaya ok lang kung medyo mahal ng konti.

Hmm.. i don't think so. If that's the case, you can feel and check everything by your self if they did something right or stupid on your car. You can report it immediately and they can have a big negative remarks & responsibility for their service actions and will reflect on their sales service as well..

But so far I didn't encounter any of those unsatisfactory...

We could just all hope to see and experience this 2.0 diesel for our self. Only if what they're telling us (rumours) is true, that they're going to release it this August or September..

I just can't wait for my Cruze LS M/T to arrive this coming Tuesday.

This is their dressed-up chevy cruze LS A/T model unit displayed at Chevy Pasig. Its just 10k higher than the price of the LT Cruze model. Its quite tempting at first glimpse.
They told that the wrap around kit cost 135k. While the 18" rims with semi-racing tires cost around 140k. Quite a crap to hear it on the first place.. But its true! Someone correct this if im wrong.
Saw some rims like that around qc and its like 40k, and they're gonna less something if your willing to swap your 4 sets of wheels with it.

Anyone seen their model unit located at trinoma mall. They said its a more souped-up cruze.. Can someone verify this? Thanks..

Im not gonna soup my cruze like that due to many huge humps around our place that can make your car look like a freaking see-saw if its really low..

Yup its quite disappointing without it. Unlike all the different manufactured models that are launching today comparing it with their top of the line cruze. Or maybe they have their own (duh) reasons for not putting or installing that feature on their top of the line.
But for me, it doesn't matter without the turn signal loc at the side mirrors. As long as it look good, feels good amd performs good. Thats all that matters for now.

This thing looks SiC, ay sick pala!!!! Awesome!!!

I've been searching for aftermarket rims for my cruze but haven't found any that will fit.

The LS has a PDC of 105.

Most rims here have PDC of 114.3.

Where did they get those rims kaya?
