Very true. But the Cruze has better drag coefficient of 0.31 compared to the civic's 0.36.

I don't know how this translate to FC but there are many factors to consider like air flow direction, humidity, cleanliness of the front end panels, etc.

Cruze has 141HP, civic has 140HP.

Cruze is 6-speed AT, Civic is 5-speed AT.

At high way the 6-speed transmission will define the difference in FC rating.

At the above figures and and feature comparison, CRUZE is the clear winner!

    3. Labor - P440.00 flat rate

    Other schedule:
    Spark plugs - every 2 years/40,000 km
    Brake fluid - every 2 years / 40,000 km
    Coolant fluid - every 3 years / 60,000 km
    Timing belts - every 3 yeras / 60,000 km

    Indeed value for money!
    Just to confirm....

The spark plugs and break fluid are replaced ONLY after every 40,000kms.? Albeit odd unless I'm really that outdated already with the standard PMS (my rides ATM have their spark plugs replaced every 10K AFAIK).

As per the PMS listing, that's only the quotation for the CHANGE OIL part. Would you mind if you post the entire breakdown of let's say, the 40K, 60K, and 80K PMS Sched? Because I'm pretty sure the change oil is just a part of the PMS, the rest of the things that are to be done weren't posted.

Sorry for the confusion here, pero whenever I went to your dealerships then for a PMS kasi, you define it differently from simple CHANGE OIL. Kapag CHANGE OIL lang ang gagawin, ganyan lang ang costs, pero to have a complete servicing every 5K, your car needs to go under PMS and not just a mere "change oil."

    Kindly enlighten us please. Thanks!

EDIT: Changed breakdown request schedules to 40, 60, and 80 as the first two are what's posted by him and 80 is pretty much the average "wallet-dies" part of maintaining a car.

Considering the post count, the first one I believe is here... as for the other one - man he's pretty much everywhere here in the forums and only considers his own cars as the great ones in the lineup (especially his san-fill-in-the-what-not)!

Check the figures for Civic and Cruze. They are all available in the net. THen vote.

Start with the looks and you'll fall in love with the Cruze.

MIAS edition of Cruze in silver is now displayed in Chevrolet Pasig showroom.... really an American Muscle car.

The PMS schedule of the Cruze is every 10,000 kms or 6 months whichever comes first.

Here are the expected PMS cost:

    10K, 20K, 30K, 50K, 70K, 90K, 100K PMS (or every 6 months) - Change oil and inspect
    1. Semi-synthetic oil (P400-600 range per liter, depending on brand to use)
    2. Oil-filter - P851.00
    3. Labor - P440.00 flat rate

40K, 80K, 120K PMS (or every 2 years) - Change oil, inspect, brake fluid, spark plug
    1. Semi-synthetic oil (P400-600 range per liter, depending on brand to use)
    2. Oil-filter - P851.00
    3. Labor - P440.00 flat rate
    4. Brake fluid - (5 bottles x P250) - 1,250.00
    5. Spark Plugs (iridium) -

60K, 120K PMS (or every 3 years) - Change oil, inspect, timing belt
    1. Semi-synthetic oil (P400-600 range per liter, depending on brand to use)
    2. Oil-filter - P851.00
    3. Labor - P440.00 flat rate
    4. Timing belts - TBA (price range 3,500 to 7,000 - I hope its on the low end)

For any unexpected problem, Chevy Pasig is giving the service inspection (manual and computerized diagnosis) FREE for 5 years.

Warranty is 3 years or 100,000 kms whichever comes first.

This is an excellent deal my friends.

Cover it with insurance and you'll have a worry free ownership.

BTW - Chevy Pasig is giving FREE insurance, LTO, and Chattel for June to July buyers.

    Why not?

Warranty is different from service check. Warranty is covered by the manufacturer to replace all deffective parts if found within the 3-year warranty period. No charge to the owner.

Service Check covers diagnosis even the problem is beyond warranty coverage.

    These are two different services.

    hmmmm,

my FD 1.8S is having a hard time maintaining cruising speed of around 80-90kph when fully loaded (5 adult). the gears keep on cycling between 4th and 5th gear. but when around 100kph, ok na. 1,900rpm constant and it does not lose speed. this is what i find annoying with my FD. over reacting AT.

i wonder how the 6 speed AT of the cruze performs, given that it is still a 1.8L engine, yeah, it cruises at a lower rpm maybe around 1500rpm at 100kph?, but then again, the question would be, can it maintain cruising speed?

my dad is also interested in buying a cruze. pero inuna namin ang sorento hehehe.

    and as per motioncars.com: 138bhp * 6300 and 175 * 3800 with a 1315kg body. heavy body talaga. in my opinion, best paired and 6AT with a 2.0 engine.

Hmm... and this is just for Chevy Pasig right? Will take note of your post (bookmarked it actually). Looks convincing and I hope a current Cruze owner can verify this in time.

    Thanks for the heads up.

I saw a BLUE cruze. All I can say is, :jawdrop: it's dang hot ! It's curves, rims and the color made the car stand out. Especially if it has no tints !

True that the cruze is such a nice car. I often use an FD, a silver FD and anytime I would exchange this FD for a blue cruze. No questions asked. But ! that's if Chevy wont withdraw all my money from my pocket when PMS comes. hehehe

    Really SIZZLING!!!

The MIAS edition in silver Cruze in Chevrolet Pasig was taken home by a fan friends. Fell in love the first time he saw the car. He took it home same day!

I am setting up a Blue Cruze this week with 18" mags and wrap around muscle skirt. Check it out! Only in Chevrolet Pasig.

    Renzo,

Check the PMS listing above. It's a real value ownership.... for keeps!

Which dealer is giving a better deal - Pasig or Q.Ave?

When it comes to post sales services - saan mas okay, Pasig or Q.Ave?

Can someone provide the pro-con between Cruze MT and AT?

I like this car - and planning to get one within the next 2 weeks...

Any insight would be much appreciated...

    Thanks!
