I can speak well for Pasig komyuter. Pasig service has impoved a lot. There were management change-over and the General Manager running Pasig came from GM Philippines. He is also the Group Manager for Alabang, Shaw, Carmona and Pasig Service Department.

We have to turn around the service operation and focus more on customer service (CS). CS is really the driver if Chevrolet wants to compete with the local big players.

For maintenance cost, check the earlier post. Cruze has a very low ownership cost. Pasig is also offering a free PMS and 5 years free service check (computerized and mechanical diagnosis).

As to your question if MT or AT... it really depends on your lifestyle. For the practical money savers go for the MT. Aside from having a lower acquisition cost, the daily gas budget is also lower. Power response is also better in MT if you are the go! go! driver.

If you prefer more comfort during the traffic and doesn't mind the 5-10% add on cost on acquisition and gas allowance, then go for AT.

Almost 80% of buyers now prefer AT cars.

If you visit Chevrolet Pasig, look for me. I am more than happy to tour you around;-)

As for the CS and sales service, the chevy pasig offered a lot of services and freebies mostly last saturday where they pre-launch there new cruze for most of the interested buyers and fans. Thats why i decided to get one for my self. Where they offered me some great deals too. Mine is gona be arriving this wk a Pewter Grey Chevy Cruze LS M/T. Test drive it yesterday. What I noticed is that the LS M/T ver is quite powerful and the control is awesome (because its Manual of course) than the Matic ver LT where its just cruising along (Obviously)..

For the pros and cons that your asking. Its like comparing a high end model to a mid end model (LT to LS). There are some like for the standard features of the LT variant that are not on the LS are and mostly NOT on L are:

    Pros for LT:
    1. Leather Seats
    2. Auto Rain Sensor windshield wipers.
    3. Auto-Climate Control
    4. 17" wheels
    5. Folding or retractable side view mirrors.
    6. Lockable Glove Compartment
    7. 2 Side Airbags.
    8. Chromed Door Handle
    9. 6 Speed Gearbox (w/ sportronic or tiptronic mode)
    10. Traction Control System (LSD). The LS ver. have it too..

Those are just the standard features that the Cruze LT model offers.

Top speed of LT is 190 and LS MT is 200 btw. You can read some review of the LT variant here: http://www.autoindustriya.com/car-re...-cruze-lt.html

Shifting from 08 Ford Focus 2.0 Sport Hatch to Chevy Cruze LS MT!!

Can't wait for my Chevy Cruze LS MT this wk.

Had a chance meeting with the GM of GM Phils. (parang redundant ah) confirmed na daw, the commonrail version will be launched august. Better hold your horses guys, hope hindi trimmed down yung features. IMO head ito sa ford focus. No idea as to the price though

Hi. I got my LS A/T cruze last March. The only real difference between the LS M/T and LS A/T is the transmission. Everything else is the same. If you're a sporty driver, I suggest you settle for the manual version and save yourself Php50,000. Otherwise, if you're mostly a laid back driver, who once in a while wants to hear and feel your engine roar (like me), then choose the automatic version 'cause it has a manual mode as well.

As for the fuel consumption between the two, I'm not convinced the manual consumes less. The A/T has 6-speed - the M/T has 5. If both were running at the same speed on a highway, the A/T will have a lower rpm. During traffic (that's almost always the case), A/T is a lot more convenient.

You will enjoy the cruze i'm sure. The cabin is exceptional. The exterior design truly is an attention caller. Ingat lang sa mga fans. he he.

Congratulations to the new owners! Cruze on!

I almost forgot, mention to your SA about the quick-release connector on the fuel hose. If it has already been upgraded so you won't have to go back.

    Let's all keep in touch..

My previous car was a manual transmission Optra.

Presently, I have a 2-month old Cruze with AT.

Ive been wondering why Im not so hot-headed driving this AT Cruze in start-stop traffic and slow traffic. I noticed that Im more forgiving of "singiteros", more tolerant of slow moving vehicles ahead of me. Eh kasi naman I dont have a clutch to operate and I dont have to keep downshifting all the time.

Sa highway, it seems that the Cruzes adaptive AT can read your mind, e.g., when you just want to leisurely cruise, or if you want to pass the car ahead of you.

I wont ever go back to manual transmission again!

No, the LS version doesnt have Traction Control.

You know, this is where i'm confused. At first, I didn't think my LS had a traction control even if the brochure says it does. I asked the dealer about this and they said that the traction control is integrated in the brake system. They also said that what it doesn't have is the Electronic Stability Program which is found only in the LT variant. Is there a DIY way of finding out for sure? Anyone?

Hmm.. I don't think that the matic version is more fuel efficient than the MT ver. Maybe if you'll use or put the the gear in Neutral or in park while in stop position so you wont comsume much petrol on it. Cause while your gear is in drive, its like using your clutch and slight gas to move it forward so its still using some gas. Unlike on manual tranny where you just choose to full stop or move forward.. So its still up to you if you want to use more gas for power or be and efficient driver. Then the curb weight of the MT is 1290kg and the Matic is 1315kg slight heavier. But honestly speaking, matic is more relaxing to drive where you can fall asleep while driving it.. hehe
The tiptronic mode of cruze has some slight delay/shiftlag for 2secs though. But not bad compared to some other sedans with manual mode.

But still whichever variant model of cruze you'll have, its still gona give you some pleasure of driving it..

yup my mistake. But still have the ABS and EBD safety features.
The traction control button of the LT is located right beside the shift gear of it to turn it off/on. Quite cool!

Hopefully they wont release the euro/US verion that's a 2.0L diesel and the 2.0DOHC with sun/moonroof and start/stop button. Or else that will suck to some previous cruze owners.. hehehe
