i'm thinking of having wheel spacers, probably 15-20mm on four wheels. this will make the wheels flush with the fenders. just could not find some stores in the internet.
I brought the Cruze to Baguio yesterday. Along NLEX & SCTEX my FC was 5.5lits/100kms, that translates to 18.18kpl. When I reached Pangasinan, the average FC based on the computer (including Manila traffic) was 6.5lits/100kms, translating to 15.38kpl. I took Marcos Highway going up Baguio. When I reached home, my average fuel consumption was 7.4lits/100kms. That's 13.51kpl for the whole trip, paakyat ng Baguio. My odometer hit 1000kms in Pangasinan.

Hi guys! Congratulations to the owners of the Cruze!!! I'm a fan of this car and I hope my wife and I can buy one in the future.
I just want to ask you guys, I got an SMS from Chevy Alabang and they are saying that the Chevy Cruze CRDi 2.0 is now available per order basis. Do you have any information about this??? What are the specs of the CRDi 2.0 diesel? My wife and I are really interested on this so any information will be much appreciated.
Thanks!!!
What's with this upgrade program? Your dealership quoted 150k for our 2003 M/T with 60k mileage. Then now you quoted my 2005 A/T 1.8LT for 250k. That's after quoting me P60,000 for repairs. Mileage is around 45,000 palang pero so many things are being recommended to be changed.
Timing belt, water pump, idler, drivebelt, tensioner, rack and pinion. Was quoted 61,000 for that. Wow. And we just had the valve cover gasket replaced last service now Chevy Pasig is quoting me again that it needs to be replaced.
We won't buy another Chevrolet car again. Hopefully Cruze owners won't experience the same thing. Plus your service prices are really high. Just to lower the cost of the 61,000 quoted bill, we bought some parts from Thunder, then now you're charging us additional 10% for the parts we bought from Thunder.![]()

The car condition has a lot to do with the trade-in value sir. It will go through a technical evaluation then a price will be offered. This is a usual process for trade-in transactions. Even end-user buyers will have to check the car before deciding to buy based on the price tag of the owner.
Service recommendations are based on the findings by our technicians sir. You can have another evaluation by another technician to verify. If this is an Optra, the belts are high time to change (5 years and 7 years). The water pump should be re-evaluated. The rack and pinion, I am assuming it has leak. This has the highest value if the technician recommended an assembly.
If you visited us this September sir, we are offering 20% discount on parts and 15% on labor.
Please look for me if you happen to drive back to Chevy Pasig.
Sorry it was done by Chevrolet Shaw not Pasig. I stand corrected. Anyway, I find it really expensive to maintain the Optra. I'm just hoping that with the Cruze it would be a different ownership experience with all the guys here. I like the Cruze when I saw it, it's just the ownership experience with my Optra that makes me hesitate on getting one. When the Optra came out there was also a promotion for free service, parts and labor for the first two years but after that the maintenance cost was just very high.
Compared to the other cars we have, cost of service for the Chevrolet is more expensive whether through casa or outside shops.
ok yan ah nag-accept na din ng trade-in ang Chevy like Kia. in the end, yun mga ganyan car manufacturers ang mag-succeed kasi yun naman talaga problem ng car buyers pano idispose yun luma
