    To be honest, the deciding factor for me to really go for the CRUZE is the WORRY-FREE PMS for at least 2 years, kung hindi dahil diyan iba na ang kinuha ko dahil alam ko thru reading na may kamahalan ang prices ng PMS ng chevy compared to their competitors.
    ako din dahil din don sa free pms and nagandahan ofcourse kaya bago ako kumuha binasa ko muna ung thread na toh

    meron na bang nag pa pms na free dito

    kasi yung isa hindi pa nka 10K or 6 months
    yung isa hindi umabot sa promo

    PMS is every 6 months or 10,000 kms whichever comes first. This is based from an annual mileage consumption of 20,000 kms.

    This is basically check-up and change oil. All other cost will come from the following:

    · Spark plugs – every 2 years / 40,000 kms.
    · Air cleaner – every 1 year / 20,000 kms.
    · Pollen filter – every 1 year / 20,000 kms.
    · Brake fluid – every 2 years / 40,000 kms.
    · Coolant fluid – every 3 years / 60,000 kms.
    · Timing belts – every 3 years / 60,000 kms.

    Minimum requirement for engine oil is semi-synthetic.

    The major difference below with the standard PMS menu is the Fully Synthetic oil and the labor charge.

    The required oil for the Cruze is only semi-synthetic. Labor charge is P440.00 flat rate per hour.

    Other dealers may upsell services that may add to the cost but the minimum required PMS is what I posted here.

    I just had my 1st PMS a while ago. 5,501km on my ODO (7 months have passed since I got it).

    I spent:
    Fully Synthetic Oil = 3,050.00
    Oil Filter = 960.00
    Brake Cleaner = 280.00
    Penetrating Oil = 180.00
    Labor = 1,105.00
    Miscellaneous = 300.00
    Total = 5,875.00

    The work done was:
    - Change Oil
    - Check & Clean Brakes
    - Rotate Tires
    - Tighten Bolts
    - Top up fluids
    - Computer Diagnosis
    - Wash Car
    - Serve coffee
    - Flirt w/ pretty SA's (he he joke)

    It's because someone posted this earlier:

    So if we assume average of 10,000km annual mileage, the annual PMS cost for the first year should be around P12,000.

    Yet the chart claims only P6,600 for the first year.

    Is someone trying to overhype the so-called "lower maintenance cost" of their car?
    My next PMS is at 20,000km or on May 23, 2011. I got my unit in March this year. The way I see it my 1st year PMS is only 5,875.00. Lower than the 6,600.:hihihi:

    Wrong. Your next PMS is at 15,000 km since you already did a PMS at 5,000km.

    It seems the "recommended" PMS interval (by Chevy) is every 10,000 km.

    Yes, the same thought I had... but the dealer's Service Advisor said the PMS I did was for the 10,000km so the next is 20,000km. Plus I opted for the fully synthetic so it's good until 20,000km. But that's beside the point. I might bring it in again next year regardless of kilometers ran. My point is - 1st year PMS is 5,875.00.

    Hmmm catchy! If your dealer SA said that it was for the 10K PMS then it should have been free (that if you have availed of the promo)

    The point of the engine oil change (regular, semi-syn, full synthetic) is to remove the accumulated dirt in the engine oil and oil filter. Also, replacing the oil refreshes the additives that keep the oil clean.

    So it is not "recommended" to over-extend your oil-change intervals.

    Yes sir, it would have, if I got that kind of promo/freeby as offered by Sir Awallit. But the thing is... i didn't get my unit from chevy pasig, and the only freeby i got was compre insurance aside from the usual mat, tint, seatcover.

    Noted. Thanks.

    I might bring it in then at around 15,000km. And basing it from my average mileage, that would probably be late next year!

    I agree that you have to stick to the 10K interval para safe parin. So your next PMS would be at 15, 25, 35, etc

    hmmm the phrase "whichever comes first" for me only applies to some promotional gimiks ...... pero sa case nito parang hindi ito applicable kasi gagastos talaga siya.

    It doesn't matter wheter aabot ako ng 1 year for my 10K basta araw-araw ginagamit yong oto, ang masama siguro once in a blue moon lang ginagamit.
