    attn: dvldoc and duskylim

I also own a '97Mazda B2500 Pickup with 220,000 Odometer reading and a '07 Toyota Fortunner 2.5 D4D with 1,200 Odo reading. I'm interested in copying your set up, what do I need to buy and how much? Is it better to do it at Speedlab at how much? Are the set up in both vehicle the same?

I've known this technology way back in '80's, actually put in on my '76 Ford Escort 1.6 L 2dr with a ramjet between PCV Valve and carburator and try it also on my '93 Toyota 1.3 Corolla which has a built in "khaos" device located at the air filter housing. In all these I've just used sealed plastic or glass container, rubber hoses, sea corals and the air intake manifold vacuum. Considering that there's no stabilize vacuum in diesel engine, you need a pump to force the mixture into the engine.
    TIA

The Stage 1 kit which is boost activated is 15000P installed at speedlab

Stage 2 kit which has the progressive controller is 19000P installed I believe.

The D4D 2.5 will perform like a 3.0 D4D with the kit on it if not better. With aD01 nozzle pre turbo and D02 nozzle and a 50/50 mix it will blow past a 3.0 D4D with ease.

I will be actually coming to the PI next Friday to drop of some of there order or at least as much as I can physically handle getting to the plan, BIG ORDER But they will have plenty of stock come Next Saturday.

Top article is showing dvldoc working on my Kia Sorento installing the system pump. I was lucky that I decided to come early considering the number of vehicles that lined up for the installation after me...hehehe Speedlab, thanks for the excellent lunch. And nice meeting some of the tsikoteers there also.
Initially was not happy with the dyno result since we are not able to get the true wheel horsepower value because of my A/T trans self-protect characteristics. But the road test like what dvldoc mentioned turned up really great with awesome amount of torque as soon as the injection kicks in. On my way home, tried 20 to 100 kph run and it was much quickier than before and smooth without any turbo lag felt. My only problem is that the holding tank for my methanol/water mixture is too small since there is no more space within the Sorento's engine compartment for the installation of a much bigger tank. Anyway, I'll try to have an aluminum tank specially fabricated for this purpose when I go home this time with a level indicator inside the cabin to serve as my warning. I have set my system to start the injection at around 2500 rpm and Full at 3000 rpm.
Goodluck dvldoc and to Speedlab hoping that more tsikoteers will go for the installation of the devils own system on their rides.

dvldoc, I'm planning to install one 2 gph nozzle pre turbo so I'll be needing your dual nozzle conversion kit plus the 2gph nozzle. Is it available at Speedlab? If not, can you bring it for me and one level switch too when you come to the philippines next friday and I'll be paying you cash in peso or in US dollar. TIA

Speed lab has those in stock. They also ordered around 50 liquid level switches so they will have plenty., They also have all the nozzle sizes in stock plus I will be bringing some extras with me. You will want the 1gph nozzle since you have a 3GPH on the vehicle already.

You will get a very nice change in throttle response and have instant spool time on the turbo, It's basically like adding a larger turbo

I won't be able to bring there full order with me because I'm only one person, and it's about 700 kilos worth of stuff lol.

Glad to hear your enjoying the system. They will have the switches in stock on Saturday

That really does not apply, That's a estimate by the post office, On average it has taken up to 3 1/2 weeks to get there due to the mail system there. That's why we recommend you get it local from speedlab.

    sir dvldoc,

i drive a 96 vitara 1.6 efi engine. will it benefit from an alcohol injection unit? not really after big HP gain as I drive around the city in stop and go traffic. i'm more after on fuel savings, without major mods to the engine, so far after reading this thread, seems there's not much mods to the engine, just a hole for the injector.

To fellow tsikoteers, where do you buy methanol for the mix?

You would need the progressive kit to see the full benefit for a N/A engine. Yours with a D01 nozzle would give you a nice results. You can use pretty much any alcohol you want, with N/A vehicles you don't need that much octane so a 15% mix is enough to get 93 octane to 100 octane when the system is active.

sir dvldoc, what about vehicles with boost compensator in the injection pump? any chances of water mixing into those tiny vac-sized hose routed to the pumps?

Under normal circumstances there shouldn't be.

    Btw,

Devil's Own Alcohol Injection systems available again.
Just give SpeedLab a ring at 376-4648/51.
Unfortunately, $ exchange rates now necessitate a slightly higher price.
However, the first 10 Tsikot.com forumer's who sign up below will still be able to acquire it at the old prices.
    Thanks.

other fine Speedlab install on a 2000 Pajero with the 4M40 engine. Notice the slick intake pipe, They can make these custom for you, These guys can weld, They should start making aluminum tanks

The water/alcohol comes out a very high pressure and at around 10 microns, And small amount is going to evaporate inside the motor after it has mixed with the incoming air and touched the surrounding metals. Nozzle location plays a big part of it as well. If a few micro grams of water is a worry for you place the nozzle close to the intake like pictured in the Pajero. 99% of the injection is going to go to the individual intake runners and combustion chambers.

Remember this has been in use on modern turbo diesels in the US for almost 15 years. It's tested and proven to have no down sides. If you take apart your engine parts the only thing they will be is clean.

We have never seen in injector pump or any other engine component effected by the system on any vehicle of any year.

the boost compensator outlet is very near to the intake manifold. making it difficult to attach the nozzles after it. however, I think small amount will not do harm. seen even oil mixing up the pump but no problem. just want to hear your thoughts about it. thank you sir. hopefuly before the year ends, I can get to get your product.

There will be no effect, Your talking droplets the size of almost a fog, They will evaporate, Plus there is no vacuum to pull the mix in. Most of the mix evaporates within seconds of hitting the intake. There has not been one reported mechanical related failure of any vehicle from a properly installed water injection system.
