IMO, long rides are stressful, the lesser body function the better especially on winding mountain roads. you dont shift often on long straight roads anyway. and CVT's and the ECU gives you better FC than MT's nowadays.

I wouldn't mind driving a Tesla, if I could afford one.

I have seen a Tesla shuffling around the Glorietta area a few months back.

Back to topic, I have gotten used to AT cars already as I have been driving such cars for a long time now (since 2002). I don't mind getting an MT car, like maybe a WRX MT. If I do find myself getting a sporty ride, I would opt for a dual-clutch tranny.

For me its the other way around. I find it very boring on long drives na walang ginagawa ang, labas nun eh aantukin ako I know dahil I usually travel from agusan to davao and back. So I prefer MT on long drives. But pag dating ko na sa city at na abutan ng rush hour, dyan ko na hahanapin ang convenience ng AT lalo na pag 1st & 2nd gear lang ang kambyohan at dami pa half clutch. namamanhind na minsan paa ko hahaha.

considering this appears to be from the former star of the british empire (india), that is strange.
in the past, these errors were common among countries not comfortable with the engrish language.

If you do mainly city driving and you live in Manila, you would want to have an automatic transmission. If you out of town a lot, then a manual transmission is definitely an enjoyable choice

hehe i agree with you sir, kapag heavy traffic, di mo na uuliting mag drive ng MT...iba pa rin ang comfort na kayang ibigay ng AT hehehe...in terms of maintenance naman, almost pareho lang din if both are properly maintained...basta alagaan lang naman yung sasakyan...

I haven't driven A/T cars that much, so i really really can't tell the better one objectively. Based on car racing games naman... manual trannys get the better edge, d ba? and i prefer it too. Pros and Cons..., maintenance cost, acceleration.. etc. Love to hear your insights mga pare. I appreciate it!
Its true this is a never ending issue. Two things to consider: (1) A/T ease of comfort when driving and high maintenance price for parts as they say and (2) M/T low cost maintenance price and becomes a burden during traffic. ^^v
