Ang thrill sa pag-drive ng A/T ride ay kapag pinauusukan ko na yung mga naka-M/T.

Hahaha. Pinausukan? With A/T on a straight road? The car drives you. Not you driving the car. Anyway, mas malalakas engine ng mga A/T dahil mostly sa top of the line models sya nilalagay. Try drifting on A/T. Hehe.

For me feeling ang nagdidrift ng mga Front Wheel Drive Cars mapa A/T man o M/T. Parang di naman drift parang sunog gulong lang.

The car drives you, hmmm... maybe. So you can sleep, then? No more paying attention to the pedals and the steering wheel?

Nah, I would never do drifting intentionally. Kawawa ang sasakyan at gulong. Watching drifting cars makes me cringe.

For me A/T. maganda na yung technology ng mga A/T ngayon. May engine brake na rin sila unlike earlier models ng A/T. I own a new A/T car myself and I can say na maganda na ang mga A/T ngayon. Konti nalang ang power loss.

kesehodang MT or AT yan, kung kotse mo di naman built sa speed or set-up sa speed... irrelevant ang transmission...

try drivng an AT STi or AT evo10...... heck masaya na ako sa performance ng 2.5 xtrail....pag may extra papalagyan ko ng oil coolers para maganda ang laban sa track....di agad mag-iinit ang ATF at engine oil

yes, gas, MT on RWD vehicle is the most cheapest to maintain and can handle power...

atleast kung AT, kahit ano driving condition, makakaadapt... ang MT-- paano ka mag ggrab ng quick bite kung kabyo ka ng kambyo... o di kaya :naughty2:

Para sa mga sanay na sa MT. Wala na yung complaint na kambyo ka ng kambyo. Ang mga nagrereklamo lang naman dyan mga hindi sanay o talagang ayaw ng MT Hehehe. May mga sariling style ang MT drivers lalo na sa pagka-clutch at pagsishift ng gears IMHO. Manual din ako kung sa pagaadapt ng driving condition. What if steep inclined yung kalsada tapos madami kang dala? Off road? Naniniwala akong mas ok MT dito. AT is for comfort lang sa tingin ko. City driving. Again, it is just me. Hehe.

I don't mind yung paulit-ulit na pagkambyo ng MT. Siguro dahil bata pa ako kaya hinahanap hanap ko pa rin yung stick shift. Pagtanda ko tatamarin din ako haha!

Tsaka inaantok ako minsan sa AT lalo na pag maluwag ang city roads tapos mostly coasting lang, MT keeps me awake because of the gear changing, kailangan alam ang tamang gear, things like that. That's just me.

Kung naka A/T ka at steep ang incline ilagay mo lang L or 1 aakyat na yan, the danger of backing up when you stop is not an issue with an A/T. I got M/T truck too so my vote goes to A/T n this one...

Off-road? 4x4 ko A/T, di naman siguro engineering defect yung pag kaka design ng auto ko di ba? A/T tranny + super select 4wd? Kung River fording at aabutin ang computer box M/T talaga, but then again, why would you ruin you're Rig's interior if you can go back... Right? hehehe

Yung mga dating pambili lang ng M/T tapos nung 40's pataas may pambili na sila ng A/T kahit wala na silang M/T na kotse okay lang. Pag walang A/T na variant ayaw din ng iba bilhin (Spark).

Pag steep inclined tapos maraming dala? Parang parehas lang okay. Mas malala nga kung steep incline tapos traffic pag A/T nakagear na siya at ready to go na kahit nakastop lang.

Eh pag di magaling ang driver ng M/T may possibility talaga magstall kasi ayaw tamaan sa harap or umatras naman sa likod.

Depende kasi sa driving conditions. Ako I prefer M/T but later on in life, ciempre A/T na pero may paddle shifter for that manu-matic experience....

I've driven M/T cars for over 15 years. siguro medyo napagod na rin ako sa kaka shift ng kambyo. Heheheh that's why I am really enjoying my A/T car now. Less hassle, less pagod. Siguro mas mataas sa maintenance in the long run but i don't intend to keep the car until it breaks down so I am not too worried about that.

Sa gas naman, I can achieve 20.77kms/liter on my 1.3 A/T car on the highway and I get around 14km/liter on city driving. I'd say hindi sya magastos.

Basta marunong ka din mag-coast at gumamit ng neutral sa A/T, it can save fuel compared to a heavy footed M/T. :D

There's really no need to shift back into neutral when you're coasting, as all modern A/Ts have DFCO (deceleration fuel cut off), effectively consuming no fuel when you're coasting (as compared to consuming the equivalent of what you'd consume in idle if you put the car in Neutral).

There's really no need to shift back into neutral when you're coasting, as all modern A/Ts have DFCO (deceleration fuel cut off), effectively consuming no fuel when you're coasting (as compared to consuming the equivalent of what you'd consume in idle if you put the car in Neutral).

Kaso there are still a lot of cars (actually mas marami yung luma kesa bago) out there without DFCO. So they better know when to use coasting method.

I even used a L300 van - the one with the stick shift on the steering wheel column - as my daily driver for over 6 years. However, when I bought my first car, I bought one with an AT. The added control and responsive that an experienced driver can pull out of an MT car isn't worth trading the convenience of the AT for me, given that over 80% of my driving is in Makati and at Global City. Admittedly, there are are times when I wished I had a MT transmission - case in point was during a trip to Tagaytay this weekend - but those happen fairly infrequently, and the rest of the time I'm happy with the choice I've made.
