I never had my car paint protected before and only heard about this from a friend of mine. Thanks :D
    hello sir,

We use these waxes and sealants not for scratch protection, but to prevent premature aging and oxidation of the paint.

sealants and waxes can protect the paint from the elements, namely water, sun, dust and dirt particles, bird poop, grime, tree sap, etc etc.

waxes and sealants will offer *some* degree of protection against very light scratches, but generally will have little to no resistance against minor scratches caused by other automobiles, stone chips, gravel, improper washing and the like.

Asphalt will stick to your vehicle like glue, whatever happens

waxes and sealants vary in their durability - some can last for a couple of months, some can last a couple of weeks, some can be stripped off by the first rain they encounter. The general rule of thumb is, in Philippine weather, nothing lasts the manufacturer's claim.

user feedback is far more accurate than the manufacturer's claim.

for the other details, I posted a link for the latest version of this guide.

    you got PM pala sir!

o kayo muna dito, alis ako for a couple of days
thanks, replied na. based from what I've read here and PD medyo limited nga lang cleaning QDs available (for the pricepoint at least). Naintindihan ko na differences and uses ng spray waxes and QD... pati different types ng QD. I really need a cleanning QD because of the dust and yellowish stains I have to deal with on a daily basis...

alis muna ko magcanvass ng QD...

Which is where spray waxes like OCW, Reflections Spray Wax, UQW and others come in so handy - they allow you to wax while drying your car, and in the case of OCW, can already serve as your main LSP. Yes, you can dust off then QD - but if the paint is clean after dusting off, why QD? If it's only minimal road film or a few tiny dirty spots, IMO, it'd be better to wait until the next wash - anytime you touch the paint, you risk marring, so the lesser the number of touches, the lesser the chances of causing damage (I'll admit to finding this difficult to follow sometimes, though ).

Sad morning for me. I saw 2 scratches 2inches each long sa driver door. Hindi naman masyado halata except kung titignan mabuti. Damage is more than the clearcoat na. I guess i need to have it repair na...Saan kaya may magaling gumaya ng color, mura at highly recommended na paint shop

mahal ang repaint. could cost around 2.5k-3.5k per panel. you can have your whole car detailed for the same price.

I opened up my spray bottle of Mother's Showtime yesterday, easy to apply and wipe off. This morning, the car had very little dust, paint is very smooth.

Heh, true enough - I still find myself QD-ing those spots after dusting. I just make sure to use lots of QD and very gentle wipes with a plush towel.

pwede palang diluted ang nanosliq sa distilled water!

so sa 4:3 ratio -- yung 4 units is for nanosliq and yung 3 is the distilled water right?

di ba soblang labnaw na pag ganto mix?

yup pwede sa distilled water, lumalabnaw yung mixture but... it helps reduce the streaking, mas madali rin ibuff off. hehe. mas tipid pa.

if you find 4:3 too diluted, you can try a 3 sliq: 2 distilled H2O mix, yan yung ginamit ko previously
