Maybe try nanoskin speedy prep sponge as an alternative to clay. Haven't tried it but read good reviews abt it.

This might have been answered before. Where do you guys buy your klasse twins? I saw a seller in olx fr manila once pero wala na ngayon.

got some of my detailing items from ginnova too like polising pads and ONR...

I have not use kerosene yet medyo adamant ako na gamitin pero ok daw pantanggal ng asphalt. I am using a degreaser instead from DIY shop on my paint surface prior to washing especially kung gusto ko I-stripped yung sealant o wax na dating nakalagay. I used it in my engine, wheel wells and rims and tanggal lahat ng grimes.

you can buy naman yung klasse in any of the olx sellers but most likely they will sell the pair of KAIO and KSG. just buy the 8oz container, it will last for a very long time especially the KSG. got mine for more than 2 years now di pa rin nakalahati yung KSG

btw, I only do polishing and complete paint correction every 6 months or more. di na ako tamang OC kasi nakakatamad at nakakapagod din there will come a time you will grow over your itch sa pag-detail. as long as I have it applied with sealant or wax I know protected na yung paint. mostly naman ng swirls at minor scratches nakukuha sa washing. if you are fond of those car wash shops sa mga gilid ng daan then most likely candidate yung car mo sa swirls i'd rather wash my cars or if nasa abroad ako its my wife duty to do it lols! as long as you know the proper washing and drying then ma-minimize mo naman yung swirls. enjoy detailing guys...

I remember using kerosene based carwax on my first car after having it repainted in the early 90's. It faded the acrylic paint. Nowadays, I just use WD40. Spray, wipe off then use car shampoo to remove residue.

Hello mga sir, any feedback about Sonax Xtreme Paste Wax Full Protect 1? Bought one in Singapore. Is it an LSP? Or Sealant?

Also, I have Collinite 476, Nano Fil, and Nano Sil.

Just had paint protected my car in BB 2 weeks ago. Do I need to clay it before starting my own DIY regimen

Can I use this regimen: Wash > Fil > Sil > Sonax Xtreme > Collinite

Also, curing time between Fil > Sil > Sonax Xtreme > Collinite

Thank you in advance mga sir. Your advices will be much appreciated

LSPs are either Sealant or Carnauba Wax.

Sonax Xtreme Paste Wax Full Protect 1 is Carnuaba Wax and is an LSP. Collinite 476 Super DoubleCoat Auto Wax is also Carnauba Wax and is an LSP.

Nano Fil is sort of a Compound, while Nano Sil is sort of a Polish. Note that they only hide scratches and swirls. They fill and seal and do not remove paint. Refer to page 261 of this thread.

What steps were done in your car by BB 2 weeks ago?

At this early time, you might just need to use Quick Detailer and Quick (Spray) Wax for maintenance.

Assuming you still want to do full detailing, the steps should be:

    Wash
    Clay* (Optional for embedded contaminants)
NanoFiL* (Optional for deeper scratches and swirls)
    NanoSiL
Collinite 476 or Sonax Xtreme (If you want to use both, I think better to apply 476 first)

    And then afterwards:

    Wash
    Quick (Spray) Wax
Quick Detailer* (for removing dust, dirt, bird bombs, bugs, etc)

Thank you so much Sir Red, very helpful. Last question Sir, what is the curing time for Between applications of Fil, Sil, and LSPs.

I think BB already clayed my car before applying paint protection. I really want to start full detailing diy. I will just bring my car to BB every 4 months for thorough detailing which may include claying.

Fil > Sil > LSP, you can do each step immediately after the other.

LSP > LSP, refer to product instructions. Some product may require you to wait some time before next application.

    LSP > LSP..

if you got plenty of time, it would not hurt to wait the next day for the next LSP or a 2nd layer of the same LSP. otherwise, a few hours will do.

    optional, fun experiment:

    - apply Collinite 476 on left side panels
    - apply Sonax Xtreme on right side panels
    - apply Collinite 476 > Sonax Xtreme on hood
    - apply Sonax Xtreme > Collinite 476 on roof and rear

inspect the next day or after a week and check which you like best.

Yes Sir will do that. Dont want to maintain 2 LSPs with same purpose anyway. Ill check which product yield best result. Im really learning a lot from you.

Having second thoughts though applying SIL by hand. Read that it is best applied using a polisher. But I want the satisfaction of having a real clean paint before topping it off with carnauba wax.

Haha I agree... Just tried it and dont like the result much as well. Klasse twins plus Collinite is enough and looks at lot more better than still putting Sonax on top of it Maybe if you are in a hurry, you can substitute Sonax to Collinite instead, it is a lot easier to apply. Not just as slick and deep as collinite though.

My Junior after using Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer. Using this in between washes. Very effective in removing light dusts, water marks, and bird droppings.
