Have you already checked or replaced your radiator cap?

Find out mo muna kung saan nag leak. If wala makita then next suspect mo na madali gawin is replacing the radiator cap...

i read somewhere, that these coolants are fluorescent. if the appropriate (UV?) light is used, the leak, even the small ones, can be more easily seen.
    is this true?

never had a problem regarding this until about years ago.

    1) the Radiator, Radiator Cap, Water Pump, Thermostat are now all new. Recently flushed and coolant (Shell Reco-cool) replaced

    2) both Cooling Fans (driver side and passenger side) are now all new, including the Underhood Fuse/Relay Junction Box who's terminals burnt out (the new one burned also, apparently a design flaw...resolved by soldering the failed wire directly on the pin)

    3) A/C Compressor (Delphi) was replaced 2 years ago and should be still be relatively "new"

These worked for a while until recently when it began overheating again!

Wizzard recommended getting the ECU/PCM checked by "someone in Banawe" coz they find nothing wrong with the wiring. Apparently the computer is not closing the ground on the relay.

They temporarily setup up a toggle-switch that directly hooks up the power from the battery to the driver-side aux fan so I may drive the van and not need towing. It works but of course the "Check Engine" warning light switched on.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem before???

    Not enough information.

Is the check engine light on when this happens? Is there a vacuum leak at the intake manifold?
    Is the speedometer working?
Some GM cars have the speedo input to enable the cooling fan. Some, the radiator fans are pulse width modulated.

Any thing else not normal to the operation of the vehicle?

Tnx 4 d reply sir jodski.

    thanks for the response mina_nuka

    re: check engine light
no, it wasn't lit. At least not until the fan was directly connected to the battery so it may be driven to wizzard's then back home.

    re: vacuum leak
it wasn't checked in the shop (servitek), though I did check the oil cap and dipstick for signs of gasket trouble but they're clean. No vapors coming out either or anything that indicates gases are leaking into the cooling system.

    re: speedometer
yes, it's fine at least when i drove it from servitek to wizzard's...already hooked up to battery. I'll drive it around just to check again. is there a way to find out if it's pulse width modulated?

other than the aircon not working again, there was nothing else acting strangely. i suspected a/c compressor issues but wizzard's didn't find anything wrong with it. their mechanic said the ecu/pcm isn't closing the ground. they wanted to remove the computer box and have it "repaired" by "someone in banawe". i'd really like to do my homework first before agreeing to that. by the way i've got the diagrams from the hayne's manual however i must admit i'm a noob with that.

any info would help in solving this "mystery"

nga pala, hammerl suggested checking out the coolant temperature sensor, it's never been replaced ever so i got a new one and will have it installed

There are four versions of 2003 Chevy venture.
    Base
    LS
    LT
    Warner Bros. Edition.
What is your VIN? At least the first eleven characters.

ilang years na bro? some toyotas really last long before that water pump fails or that thermostat. how does the used coolant loom like? malinis naman? if thw coolant is a premix-wala gaano rust.. some have rust kasi yun nga..distilled lng ang gamit... wala sya rust inhibitors..
