In all this, all I can add is that violence begets more violence. Police brutality begets protesters' aggression. Human nature to fight back. If one side can play dirty, the other side will also play dirty. Everything's seem to be spiraling out of control as emotions run high.

I actually saw a picture where the protesters posted a poster outside a Bank of China which explains why they torched it.

    "Why Bank of China?

    1. It is a pro-Beijing company

    2. It supports the development of totalitarianism in Hong Kong

    3. It supports the VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS

Hong Kong's today, the World's Tomorrow

To me, there is no difference. Both spoke their minds, well and good for them. And both got sh*t from their "detractors" to the tune of $$$$$. At least they were brave enough to do what they did, gotta admire them for that.

Is what China doing to NBA also right? Even Alibaba and Vivo have joined the fray against the NBA. China is like a cult, follow the leader, no questions asked. No morals, no ethics, no conscience, no God. And like I said, tit for tat, an eye for an eye is what's moving everyone out there embroiled in the situation. Violence begets violence. I'm not saying it's correct, though, for both sides. Lastly, on breaking the law -- both sides are doing it with almost equal magnitude. And of course one side will say the other side started it first.

what China is doing is expected

but those so-called pro-democracy protestors who are supposed to be fighting for freedom have demonstrated that they do not tolerate opposing views

they do not have the moral high ground now

pareho lang sila sa kinakalaban nila

I actually edited my previous post to add this, sir --

"Lastly, on breaking the law -- both sides are doing it with almost equal magnitude. And of course one side will say the other side started it first."

It's like the bully you fought back. Just because you punched back you're now in the wrong? You're just a bully yourself? C'mon. Who was it who said -- "Sometimes you have to fight when you're a man"? Or was that a song? Heh heh.

It's not our "world" yet we too are emotional about it. There's something there that they're fighting for that resonates with out own condition, or just maybe human nature to want to be free.

Some care more about property damage than the human lives that were lost.

As for the picture, well sayang talaga, ilang years din na maintain yung magandang subway system nila then sisirain lng ng mga protesters.

Yeah, China is a bully and it has a sh!tty authoritarian government but you can't really expect justice all around the world.
What's stopping China from breaking the agreement they made with UK back in 1997 when HK is technically theirs in the first place? The autonomy of HK is just an illusion. The CCP has been bankrolling HK oligarchs for decades. If those protesters really want freedom then they should move out of HK.

A lot of people are stoking the flames of revolution but I'm not sure if they're aware that it's already a losing battle. With the way things are going, the destiny which awaits those protesters is either a jail or a coffin.

Parang yung iba already left when the British turned over hk to China, some yata came back, some don't. As to they should move out, they can't kasi US and UK won't accept them kasi they're not British or US citizens but a HK chinese citizen.
