Yung 40kph signage po na yan is for the existing 1x1 rekta traffic ngayon / pati sa construction team.

I think this is ala NAIAx at 60kph at madaming tight at twisty curves si Skyway 3 as compared kay NLEx-SLEx Connector na relatively "straight" as it utilized PNR RROW.

Ganun speed limit sa BF Homes. Sa main roads ng AAV, 60 kmh nga speed limit.

mid-November update from PJI showing asphalt overlay work progress.

Made a mid update for #SkywayStage3 checking out the status of the asphalt coating on the river portion (section 2B). Mukhang complete na at nasa asphalt wearing course na sila. Yun mga lightpost di pa naka install sa ilog portion saka lane marking pero if you observe meron na dots nakalagay or palatandaan meaning may idea na tayo ilan lanes ang ilog section. 3 x 4 ang nakita ko.

Re: Stage 3 [soft] opening, per Boo's column today:

Ramon Ang texted me that “Dec. 29 9 a.m. opening with street lights, lane marking and non-slip surface na.”
    EDIT: Confirmed by Lodi himself

Just did a run on SS3 this morning to to stretch a diesel's legs again after so long, both southbound until NAIAx and northbound to NLEX end/terminus.

The lane width on SS3 is similar to NAIAx, so I suspect top speed will be 60kph for cars, 50kph for buses/trucks (maybe). I can't see them allowing it to be 80kph given the turns the SS3 makes in certain areas and with how some people drive, it will be an accident waiting to happen if they allowed them to go faster than 60kph. But I could be wrong.

Currently, the speed limit is posted as 60kph with 40kph on offramp and those places with "Sharper" turns.

A friend passed by skway today. 15mins from Magallanes to Q.Ave, but took him 20 mins to exit Q.Ave. Problem daw was when you get off Q.AVe, stoplight kagad kayd dun daw tumatagal.

the curse of the PUJ, wreaking havoc at that corner?
    or just plain traffic congestion?
    heh heh.

at any rate, 15 + 20 = 35 minutes, is still much better than the usual 1 to 1.5 hours...
