the expressways going north...
kung mamalasin, how many times do we have to pay?

in today's age of computers,
the only reason i can think of, on how come they can't inter-connect all them toll computators,
is that they do not want them to.
that, or because the equipment they sourced are so low-IQ-cheap...

Wala kang aasahang maayos o matino sa pinas.

Laging huli sa lahat kahit ano pa man yan. Commute, pulitiko, serbisyo, etc. Kung di pa kayo nasanay, ewan na lang lol.

It's not as simple as that. Aside from the system interconnectivity

These are different companies. Collecting for the other company entails withholding taxes, vat, etc. There is friction of money. Who takes what and who pays which amount of tax.

As a collection agent for the other toll operator, do i pay income tax as well on their collections? Etc.

The govt would love to double tax as well and in this environment , the BIR isnt gonna give any favors.

It could be done... if the government was the one in charge of the RFID and the "collecting agent" in behalf of the Expressways. That way, they are the ones to "pay out" to the operators/PPP proponents.

But, with the usual "process" here, government tends to be slow in "paying out" and even sometimes requires some lubricant to grease the process faster. Problem is you'd have to do this everytime.

If that reality happened on the toll payments release, I'd expect no PPP/Private Entity would want the government to even have first dibs on it, especially on that unspent cash on the accounts. Worst fear for the funds on those would be what happened to what was paid for unreleased plates and stickers, and even... road user tax that's supposed to be used to improve our road infra.

Its less of a computer or system issue (though am not downplaying that)...and more of an added tax / velocity of money issue if you are the collecting agent / withheld party.

Basically....

There will be additional taxes, fees, etc if one collects for the other as they are separate companies. Also, payment isnt instantaneous and there will have to be reconciliation of books etc.

if memory serves,
get off at the quirino avenue exit, then drive the traditional quirino ave-nagtahan-gov forbes. i can not predict the traffic situation at that ground level segment.


or you can leisurely drive to the next exit, which is quezon avenue in true QC.
then turn left and drive back to UST along quezon avenue.
i have driven araneta - quezon ave to UST in less than 10 minutes, depending on the traffic.

From Skyway the nearest offramp exit iirc would be G.Araneta since sarado pa ang Plaza Dilao/Nagtahan. Kung mkalampas ka ng G,Araneta, doon ka na pupulutin sa NLEX u-turn maybe at Harbour link or Paso de Blas.

A gantry and sign installed at the new entry of #skywayextension northbound and says "strictly for etc only" "class 1 only" with those cute vector image of a car and pickup truck included. The Skyway Extension will ease the choke points of Skyway At grade once it opens. Currently the northbound is opening soon while works on the southbound is still on going. The old skyway amkor on ramp at grade was removed to connect this new extension

Galing kami ng 5th Avenue Caloocan. Nakaka tuwa lang at ang bilis, from 5th Avenue then enter nlex north harbor link expressway, then nlex then skyway. 5th Avenue to alabang skyway in one hour.
