I drove to Cavite once around 97 or 98 in Aguinaldo highway and traffic was horrible. I swore to myself that I am never passing that route again. I could imagine how much worse the traffic is more than 15 years after

Stop with the stupid schemes...start with cracking down on colorum buses and errant drivers.

Agree ako sa proposed new coding, basta EDSA and C5 lang.

Dagdagan na rin ang railcar ng MRT.

This new traffic coding plan will not have the same effectiveness because many people have "coding" spare cars which will still let them (well, most of them) to still get on the roads.

Bago iimprove yung batas, make sure na plantsado na yung alternative, which in this case is the public transportation system. Ngayon pa nga lang na madami na may private vehicles jampak na yung mga public transpos eh, lalo pa kung iimplement tong batas na to at lilipat to commute yung mga fellow private motorists natin.

Mahal pa rin pala. I hope hindi matuloy to, in fact I'm praying na tanggalin na yang coding na yan. Very risky kaya magcommute.

There was this friend of mine na nagkwento saken na yung kaibigan daw niya na babae pinatay dahil ayaw niya ibigay yung hinihingi ng holdaper, she was dragged down the jeep and the holdaper shot her in the face. Sayang, cum laude pa naman from one of big Universities here in the metro.

That is so true. He bargained for his IDs lang kasi napakahirap kumuha ng sss, prc, license etc ulit. The driver said he only needed money lang naman. So they dropped him off somewhere.

What does he know about taking public transpo anyway?!?!

Muntik na ko maholdap twice. The first time, tutok ng ice pick but I managed to run away. Second time I had to jump off a moving bus to escape.

Considering the years I've been commuting, mababa talaga probability ng holdup unless malas ka or sobrang flashy mo. But when it happens, yari ka talaga.

But I still commute anyway lol.

Napakabano ng public transport system sa Manila.

Bakit maraming gusto magkakotse? Refer to the first statement.
Bakit may colorum? Refer to the first statement.

I don't know why MMDA's solution is so idiotic. Humans would always evolve or adapt to find solutions. Kapag mayaman ka, buy another car. Kapag mahirap ka, buy a fake plate number, dala calling card, pretend to be the police, blah blah blah.

Unless they make it safe and convenient, saka lang ako maniniwalang may pakinabang yang kokote ng attorney nagpapanggap na engr.

Nakakatakot maholdup.

good point. Bakit nga ba traffic sa c5 pero walang buses/jeepney except for the front of Eastwood, ang garapal ng jeepney drivers dun. They literally create the trafiic from ortigas flyover and blueridge.

anyways, maybe MMDA should test run if this will work. Sobrang traffic na nga ngaun. people will definitely buy a 2nd car or a 2nd hand car or just buy a condo near place of work. on the brighter side, this will increase spending & more business for the Philippines, Why not implement the ordinance na din dapat may garage for this and not park on the sidewalk.

Sadly, this sounds unconstitutional but sobrang congested na talaga. I have noticed commuters too, ang dami na din so to limit the number of PUVs on the road will also be a problem. Exponential din ang rise ng daily commuters as is the cars.
