hello guys...Im also planning to buy fort 2.5 D4D
but can you compare tha accelaration of this kind of unit?
for example is it faster than current sportivo?
or its slower than sportivo because of its weight?

our fort is just 2 months old with barely 3K on its odo.. didnt expect to get this same problm as the other forts. Im tking in the fort tom to toyota balintawak north for repairs.. not much cosmetic damaged done on the fort panel alignment lang cguro un but the after market grille is damaged na and needs replacement.. I dont think I can claim this on insurance.. and the aircon is busted.. kasi after my dad crashed plums of smoke came out of the engine bay of the fort and its the aircon nga raw.. I hope pwedw ko rin ma claim sa warranty un.. since almost new naman ung fort ko eh...

Sorry if I sound like Toyota, but warranty replacements/repair is applicable only *if* Toyota finds any defects in workmanship or parts.

In your case, damage was a result of a collision therefore it would not be covered by warranty.

How come you cannot claim it from the insurance? Wasnt it damaged as a result of the collision? All damage sustained as a result of the collision should be repaired by the insurance.

It happened at around 7 pm friday night so I was not able to talk to my insurance agent the whole week end. ngaun plang and she told me that I hae to pay a participation payment of P11650... Im going to toyota to have it estimated..

Hmm, kung nasira yung aircon, medyo malakas siguro yung bangga? so sira din radiator mo sir? Dapat ireklamo mo sir na pumalya yung brakes. medyo nakakatakot yan sa Highway lalo pag 100kph++ na ang takbo.

d naman actually mabilis ung takbo ng dad ko nun eh.. stop and go traffic lang sa may makati ave. pina go cla nung stupid mapsa guy tpos all of the sudden pina stop sila kasi may humahabol na kotse from the other lane.. di napansin ng dad ko pero nkatapak siay kagad sa brakes nun.. kaya lang hindi siya kumagat kagad then un tumama na siya sa likod nung pick up.. cguro nsa 40Kph lang xa nun before he stepped on the brakes.. d lang talaga kinaya..

Just came back from toyota.. they gave us an estimate na 20 to 30K daw kasi palit front bumper tyaka baka daw pati condenser ng aircon palit din kasi wala ng lamig eh.. since may insurance naman ok lang cguro.. kaya lang ung pag palit ng front bumper ang hindi ako sure kasi minor dents and scratches lang meron tyaka merong slight crack sa pinaka ilalim ng right side ng bumper.. sabi ko baka kaya naman ng masilya lang un.. pero sabi nung S.A. tyaka nag estimate palit na raw un.. tpos ung Brakes nireklamo ko un.. claim ko nalang daw sa warranty at icheck narin daw nila at papaltan nila kung kelangan without extra cost.. sana totoo un... wag ko lang daw paltan ng brake pads ma void daw warranty ng fort...

bahala na insurance dun kaya lang ung 1% participation fee sa overall value ng kotse ang iniicp ko ngaun.. normal practice ba yun pag SUV na ang iniinsure??...

One of the things I failed to look at when we bought a car, yung ibang insurance 1% eh, yung iba 0.5%. As for ours, di ko pa alam kung ilang %.

Di bale, next year, mag-iiba kami ng insurance kung 1% nga (ikaw rin try mo).

Since insurance naman magbabayad, wag ka na magtipid, yung bumper, papalitan mo na kung napunit since yung participation fee mo naman will cover it whether papalitan or not. Medyo defeated na kasi ang structure nun since napunit na.

Hassle lang sa ganyan, diba iwa-warranty nga nila yung failed part (in this case, the brakes), eh babayaran ba nila yung na-damage sa car nyo and the other party na nabangga?

makisuyo lang sana. kindly indicate the month and year your fortuners were bought to give us somewhat of a "baseline" if the crdi problems have already been solved. your patience will be of great help.

D cguro bro.. malamang ang sagot lang ng warranty eh ung brakes.. malamang hindi nga papaltan ung brakes eh.. ichecheck lang nila un tapos adjustments lang tpos palit ng pads at shoes..

nag bigay rin kami ng go signal sa casa na paltan na nila ung front bumper since covered naman un ng insurance.. pati ung after market grille ko isasama nrin nila sa insurance claim hehehehe!! sila na raw ang bahala..

all stock siya bro.. kasi Im not yet decided kung anu gagawin ko sa wheels and tires ko.. kasi Im contemplating whether to change the wheels to seqoia wheels set up or keep it stock.. but definitely not going the bling bling route..

Oo mga bro 1% ang participation sa insurance namin kya lumalabas eh P11650 ang babayaran namin.. bank insurance kasi eh.. sabi nga nung S.A. na kakilala namin sa toyota balintawak eh .5% lang daw sa kanila.. buti pa sa inyo 6k lang at may 3k pa!!..

ang total bill pala namin is 37K
7k pra sa busted pipes ng aircon
9K labor
12k after market grille (pwede daw iclaim sa insurance to papalabasin nlang na stock ung grille)
9K new front bumper..

I remember record breaker natin si m2m, hindi pa nakakaabot sa 1,000km PMS bumigay na supply pump nya.

Maybe the actual owners can just update their D4D woes info.

while there is no pattern with the mileage, the dates they were replace or
reprogrammed says that the d4ds, based on this very limited data, shows that all the crdis were bought last 2005. so far, again based on this data, no problems with 2006 released crdis. which is pretty consistent to the post provided by one tsikoteer that all 2006 releases have new supply pumps replacing the old defective ones.

this is the type of data i hope to accumulate, through your KIND AND GENEROUS SUPPORT, that will prove useful to future buyers of fortuner crdi!

pwede ba kayo magbigay nang comparison from 0 to 60 acceleration nya?
parang 1.6 sedan ba? or 1.3 sedan mag hataw yung 2.5?

Even the 163bhp 3.0D4d will never produce acceleration numbers close to that of a 1.6 sedan. But it does have adequate power for day in, day out driving.

The 102bhp 2.5D4d is even slower. But then again, the power deficit is relative so a test drive is still the best way to find out.
