If the scratch reached the bare metal then it is advisable to put very small amounts of body filler (to even out the surface) and repaint.

Just got our Fortuner after 7months of waiting. Medyo wierd ang nangyari. Tinawagan kami ng agent ko saying na nandyan na yung unit pinadala kagad within the day yung manager's check worth P1,700,400 kasi available na daw yung unit namin tapos pagdating namin dun 4x2 na gas yung unit. We ordered a 4x4 d4d diesel unit. So we figured bka magaantay nanaman kami ng matagal so we offered na i-deposit na lang yung mc since nandyan na tapos sabi nung agent i-check daw nya sa dealer kung kelan makukuha, unexpectedly pagbalik next week na daw. (btw. Anyway, were expecting to get our 4x4 diesel silver metallic fortuner sa monday.

With participation fees ranging from (Php2.5K or more), depending on the extent of damage, I believe it is less costly to pay for the repairs outright from one's own pocket.

    Fortuner stuff:

[messes up the approach angle, though]

Btw, I saw a Fortuner wearing an aftermarket body cladding kit. Ang pangit ng quality ng cladding. Puro alon considering na panget din ang pintura and walang luster.

Ok 'to... Especially for the serious off-roading Fortuner owner... In case you get stuck in mud, you can use the winch to pull yourself up. That rated line pull is more than adequate for the Fortuner's curb weight. If you have an opportunity to take a pic of the cladding, pa-picture naman (kahit celfon pic lang).

*fortfan: Sa mga casa, the standard cost of repainting per panel is around P4T, exclusive of taxes. If your scratched-up paint involves 2 door panels, you can expect a cost of around P9T to have both doors repainted.

Thanks for the suggestions. Kakainis nga talaga. Sa subic nangyari ito. Pakita ko muna siguro sa big berts baka puedeng maayos. laki gastos kasi if pa-parepaint ko, on the other hand, nakakawalang gana pag nakita ko yun scratch.

Boss Vic, this involves 1 door and the panel above the rear wheel. Ang alam ko participation sa insurance is 10% yata ng total insured amount.

This means you've got 2 panels. I don't think insurance will cover the cost. 1% kasi ang usual participation. So, if you got a 2.7G or 3.0V, your participation would be P12T or P15T, respectively.

I earlier shared that my rear bumper was also scratched-up (naatrasan ng pader ). I decided to have it painted at the dealer to make sure that the shade is right. It's as good as new, as if nothing happened. Cost me P4.5T. I chose Toyota Bicutan to do the job, 'coz that dealer is owned by TMPC. Thus, alam nila ang tamang timpla to get the shade right.
