naka kita ako ng PIE para sa IPOD ok naman pala mura pa 2500 lang daw paka yun. available na sya next week sa apple center.

Did you ask if it's easy to install by yourself? 'Coz, if it's so, I might just do it myself. Which Apple Center did you find it? MegaMall or PowerPlant?


Update: I just found-out that a PIE (Precision Interface Electronics) device actually costs less that P1T... Easy to install on your own, as long as your HU is a 2001 & up model. Yay! I'm getting one!

Damn! Mura lang pala niyan. And it's really easy to install kasi plug and play lang siya.
Ang pinaka complicated na is how to remove the center console without damaging it. And siyempre saan papdaanin yung mga wires.

san ka nakakita ng PIE na less than 1k? bili rin ako. naka kita na ako ng unit nun sa likod naka lagay yun. sobrang dali lang. der will be no problem about the wire, you must buy a longer one nalang para umabot sya, kasi pangit naman kung yung wire naka lagay sa center console eh.

Mga men, is there a replacement/after market power window switch (driver side) para maging "auto" rin yung pagtaas ng window? Kasi meron lang "auto" when rolling down the windows lang. Hindi pwede pag pataas. Just a thought...nasanay kasi ako sa Civic ko eh..parang hassle i-hold yung switch after mo magbayad sa toll or parking booth. Tamad eh noh?

Anyway, just need some advice, which is better variant of fortuner in terms of fuel consumption and mainternance? Coz, I want the 2.7gas, but I was thinking of the fuel consumption.

The Jan'06 issue of C! Magazine, has a comparison in fuel consumption bet. the 2.7 vvti and 3.0 D4-D. The result, both engines almost consumed the same amount of fuel (roughly 7-8 km/li City, 10-11 km/li Highway). The D4-D has an advantage in slow crawling traffic, though.

Hi guys. I changed my stock alarm horn to a sub-zero alarm siren, however, after about 1 week, nasira na yong siren so kinabit ko na lang uli yong stock na horn - ang pangit pakinggan. Paano ba ang tamang paraan pagkabit ng alarm siren kasi I noticed na there are 2 wires sa nabili ko while yong stock alarm horn isa lang. Hope you can help me out. TIA

PS: One more thing. May burglar alarm na ba ang Fortuner G or is it just a keyless entry. Kasi may sticker sa front window na "Toyota Auto Alarm". TY again.

Uy! May increase daw ang R-VAT from 10% to 12% starting February. Kawawa na man yong nasa waiting list pa, malamang mag-increase din yong price ng Fortuner.

You have to do some creative DIY modifications to the switch to enable auto up. Though I don't get the logic why it's auto down only. Even a Suzuki Vitara and Nissan Sentra have auto up and auto down modes.

Check out forums like www.ih8mud.com to learn how to modify the switch. It's mostly done on Land Cruisers but the principle is the same.

You guys can check out the iPod interfaces offered by PIE at www.pie.net. You can control your iPod via the HU (your playlists are read as CDs from a CD changer) and even charge your iPod.

You can choose between regular and fully-synthetic; I am not sure if TMP offers other oil alternatives. I had mine in fully-synthetic; changing oil every 10T km; though I have it change every 8T only.

if it's coming from MAC...the only PIE cable they have is for kenwood(for crv HU). wala sila pang fortuner. they are selling it for 2500. di hamak na mura pa rin sa maxx. got mine for 1700 with free cheap rca.
yung sa fortuner, mas mahal kase may harness(box) pa. hindi basta direct cable. 5T.
that one in the pic is the ipod interface. maxx is selling it for 10k.
you can probably get it cheaper than maxx' price if you go direct to PIE abroad.
less than 1k binebenta dito sa atin? i doubt it. maybe in time mumura din yan.

Im using regular engine oil cuz Im planning to change it every 5T Km.
