    Hi Guys!

I need some help and opinion from Fortuner owners...

I would just like to know how much a pre-owned Fortuner 2.7L cost in the auto market? My relative is selling me his Fortuner since he doesn't use it anymore and we're negotiating on the price.

In our negotiation, I will assume the monthly amortizations (totalling 1.125M). But I ought to bargain on the downpayment he made. How much should I pay him?

Anyway, the Fortuner isn't broken-in yet. Less than 1k mileage.

Hope you can help me out!

    Thanks!

KPY555, they say that the moment a brandnew car is driven-out of the showroom, nag-depreciate na nag-value. But in the real world, it depends on the supply-demand. When the Fortuner was newly introduced in our market at mahaba pa ang pila I've known some owners who bought their unit at MSRP + 50,000 (some even 100,000). But since wala na ang pila sa Fort ngayon, maybe MSRP less 50,000 since mababa pa ang mileage.

Panero, pls visit our other tambayan:

    Thanks Dude!

I will try to negotiate around less 75,000 muna siguro, then hopefully maka-settle na.

    Thanks again!

    hi to all fortuner owners...

quick question lang po.. hindi ko pa kasi talaga nakikilatis yung loob ng fortuner eh...

we're planning tp buy Fortuner as a replacement for our family van the toyota grandia...

I just want to know kung ilan talaga ang max na kaya sa fortuner and comfort if ever... we need a vehicle that has a 3rd row seater and one of the options is the fortuner...

    TIA

I hope your old folks don't mind climbing onto the Fortuner. Medyo mataas siya. Maganda naman yung bagong Grandia at Innova w/ the pilot seats.

Mugen, baka manibago ka sa tatag ng Fortuner. I own one and I can tell you that the ride comfort is not "A1".

Monseratto is right, the height of the Fortuner in not ideal for arthritic knees.

If you are coming from a Hi-Ace Grandia, the Fortuner will feel cramped. I would say the Fortuner has a passenger space equal to that of a compact car (ie. Corolla, Lancer, etc...). Ingress and Egress from the third row of the Fortuner is difficult and should only be for people 5'7 and below.

Baka mapamura ang magulang mo if you try to stuff then into the 3rd row seat of a Fortuner (or almost any truck based SUV).

The Fortuner is an SUV, not a people carrier. It was designed to seat 4 persons comfortably, 5 in a pinch. Third row is penalty box seating, good for kids and young adults of average height but not for anyone else. Even a Hyundai Starex will feel like a palace compared to the Fortuner.

When the body count reaches 5, I drive the MB100.

The Fortuner has its own strong points, hauling a full load of people is not one of them.

Not ideal for those with arthritic knees because of positioning/angling of the seats. but still a satisfied fortuner owner though i don't like the moisture in rear side glass when the rear aircon is on while the 3rd row seats are pack up.

Pre - keep the Grandia... or better yet... buy the new Grandia (with those reclining captains' chairs).

Almost all 7-seat SUVs will feel like a downgrade compared to a van (if your primary purpose is to haul people). The ingress/egress is horrible (because of the high ground clearance, limited headroom, seats that needs reconfiguration everytime the 3rd row seat is used, etc.).

    i agree with doc OTEP.

as for me, sulit yung 3rd row seat sa mga kids. hindi na binababa yung second row seat para pumunta, tumatalon na lang sila. hehehehe.

Or you can buy the Commuter and have Seat Mate convert those bench seats into individual adjustable captain chairs as well as the addition of a headliner and other interior refinements.
