Baju83 you could use any N50(2sm) or NS40(1sm) battery from any reputable brand like motolite,GS,Outlast,Bosch as long as your alternator and electical system is doing fine there is no problem. For me I would use the cheaper motolite enforcer n50(2smf) low maintenance battery. And for the sparkplug it's ok to use it it would last longer than the regular one but if your engine is tuned properly like right carburetion, right timing, right fuel, clean filters, and right engine oil grade and viscocity. And one tip if your engine is in good condition as in no blueish smoke or black smoke you could use a cheaper oil like caltex havoline sf oil 20w-40 and change every six months.
Don't use e10on a carb engine your carb seals would deteriorate and it could possibly leak. and your fuel pump seals also. It's only good for injected type engines or modified carb engines. Better if you can afford try converting to lpg.

Not all gasoline has ethanol mix only those with e10 designation are mixed with alcohol. But if worse comes to worse and you could not find any station with a gasoline that has no alcohol mix you could modify your engine by changing your carburettor seals with new ones that could withstand alcohol. Use new hoses and and change your pump to one built for alcohol which is hard to find by the way. Ask toyota if they have one, but I doubt if they will have one ready for use with e10, because as of the time the 5k engine was designed e10 wasn't yet as popular as straight grade unleaded. and by the way are you from the visayas?

June 5th, 2009 12:48 PM #207i have a 1991 Lite Ace na hindi power steering.
may problema na daw po yung rack & pinion assembly. ano po mas maganda, repair kit ng rack & pinion or buong assembly? mas mahal kasi yung assembly na OEM aabot ng 30K.

Bro hndi ba non-powersteerng ang iyong rack and pinion? what seems to be the problem? If you're having a hard time steering as in the steering wheel feels heavy maybe you need to adjust the steering pinion adjuster loose it up a bit. but non-powersteering rack&pinions are hard to destroy not like powered ones where you would have problems with the oil seals. Any ways if you have a good mechanic and knows how to modify maybe you would want to change your steering to a powered one. mostly these conversions starts at 15k up to 20k(surplus parts)all in, but thats here in cebu i don't know in your place.
