Yes this is already a little more than 10yrs old so I need to replace it as soon as possible. Just for the parts if I can get aftermarket on some parts before I have the timing belt replaced. Also, after the replacement will the T-Belt on the dashboard reset by itself?

i just had my 2005 D4d's timing belt etc replaced by the casa. 125K km. it cost me just a little below 12K.
    "promo discount daw."
normally, i would ask exactly what parts they replaced. but in this instance, i did not anymore. i must be getting soft.
suffice to say, they said that they replaced everything that had to be replaced.

So possible that my timing belt could also run for another 25k? But too risky for me. I bet they didn't replaced the oil seals if they don't see any leaks. At 12,000 it is already a good deal that would be also the price at non-casa. How about water pump didn't you or casa recommend to replace it too?

when i inspected closely my 125K km-old timing belt that they removed, i would have sworn that it was still in very good condition. no wear marks, no cracks...
the replaced parts bag they gave me included the belt, the idler, and a long cylindrical metal part about 5 inches long x 1 inch wide that i do not recognize...
i'm still looking where i stashed the paper document with its itemization...

at 128K km, it's still mineral oil every 5K km and replace/buga air cleaner for me.
brake/clutch fluid, MT trans oil and gear oil replaced only once, since new.
disk pads, twice. brakes, once (yata. don't really remember).
disk rotor, refaced once. the user didn't know what those strange sounds meant, kasi.

Ok lang ba aftermarket yung Atf na gamitin? Hindi ba maselan kapag hindi Toyota yung gamit sa transmission ng Kd engines

i learned from our past experiences na, wherein we are not really hands-on with our vehicles and umaasa na lang sa drivers on what to check and replace. we still follow the manual although more on DIY or gas station na lang, casa services are availed for just for 1 to 2 years to see if there are any factory defects

i am not the one driving it na kasi, i bought a motorcycle to go to work so i need it to be very reliable, squeaks and niggles are not tolerated by the user

the Petron ATF is for the power steering, manual says any Dexron 3 rated fluid is okay. yung Toyota ATF are on the right side, yung metal cans

Naawa ako sa transmission neto. Di manlang compatible yung ATF. Mura lang naman toyota na T-IV.

Edit: nasa right side pala yung T-IV

Do we need that much coolant for our ride? Casa told me 4 liters or 2 bottles of pre-mixed coolant should suffice.

someone here mentioned that he used 7L on a M/T version. manual states that 10L is the total capacity of the system. not all will be totally drained and some will still be left in the engine though, dunno kung may engine drain bolt ang 2KD

shop i bought the coolant from confirmed that i can return and refund the unused coolant and ATF so i am not complaining, or i can use the coolant on our other Toyota vehicles

    *ParticleX,

I'm curious to see how the fuel filter looks like at 40k km. I'm currently approaching 34k km and I have bought parts to replace the following:

    1. Oil (Zic X7 Diesel 10W40),
    2. Oil filter (Wix WL7172)
    3. Oil drain bolt gasket/crush washer
    4. Intake air filter (Denso)
    5. Cabin air filter
    6. Bosch Diesel fuel filter (under consideration if it requires replacing at 34k/3.5 years)
    7. Other PMS items will be done at the dealer
