Newbie Innova owner po...
2019 Innova G Diesel...
Have you encountered check engine light in your d4-d innova? Im currently encountering this maybe 1 or 2 times in a week during startup and when engine is idle. I turned off the engine and start it again then the cel is gone. This doesn't occur frequently I want to have this check during my last pms but they told they cannot check without cel warning light. I hope this is not any major issue with my vehicle.
TIA!
CEL usually points to an emissions system issue... MAF, O2 sensor, etc. Try to extract the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC), nevertheless. When the CEL lights up, the DTC is usually stored for later review.
My only question.... saan yang gas station na yan? P200 for a full tank? Parang 1980's ah. :D
Seriously, the fuel sender (float mechanism) is most likely the issue. But don't overlook the wiring and harnessing.

This is correct. For coolant concentrates, use ONLY distilled water. Not mineral water, not tap water, not purified water, not filtered water, and especially not "poso" water.
Distilled water is the purest form of water with the least amount of impurities and minerals contained if not nil. Distilled water is made by heating the water to steam and then cooling the steam back to water, giving you its purest form.
You will not want to use any other water because other forms may have higher mineral content. Mineral content is what causes scaling in your radiators. Scales are made of mineral deposits that form on the walls of the radiators which lessens the ability of your radiator to cool your coolant. If you work on industries which use water for cooling, you will work with cooling towers and scaling is the number one enemy of cooling towers.
Do your radiator a favor by only using distilled water.![]()
For unit owners specially with your older toyota innova. Have you noticed the return hose connecting to the radiator if its broken? What didnyou do about it? on the other side of the hose connecting to the coolant reservoir is still intact. I noticed also that steel is used connecting from the hose to the coolant reservoir whereas the radiator just use plastic tube which might be the reason that it is easily broken.
Can anyone post a service manual for Innova Gasoline Engine A/T 2008 model? Searched the net and found only for diesel....

I just hope that is right...
i googled it just now. "innova flasher relay location." it's in one of the articles on the first page.
just looking at the diagram, it appears to be deep in the dashboard, above the left knee, beside the instrument cluster.
if i have to guess, instead of reclining under the dash and reaching up using our multi-jointed arm and xray-eyes, removing the instrument cluster should be the easier way. i once had a banawe mechanic do something with my innova, wherein he removed the cluster by simply un-screwing several holding screws, followed by easily bending the plastic.... it took less than a minute...
the relay seems to be reach-able to its left.
caveat! i only read it. i haven't tried it.
in my old altis, the owner's manual did say where it is.
but getting to it and removing and replacing it, was something else!
i finally brought it to banawe...
i watched him do it, and today... i'd still ask him to do it, instead of me trying it.
yes, times have changed. in the olden days, it was a simple matter of reaching under the dash and easily pulling out that cheap, small aluminum can...

I already have this. Unfortunately, it only pertains to the CRDi system. I was hoping to find a complete service manual covering the whole vehicle, including the transmission, electrical/electronics, power steering, interior and exterior lighting, body controllers, ABS, SRS, system description and operation, etc.
Nevertheless, thank you for the effort.
The flasher relay on the old Innova was simple enough to find. Though, it was a PITA (literally) to reach into from under the dash. When I switched to LED turn signals, I decided to leave the old flasher alone and just transferred the 8-pin plug to an aftermarket speed-adjustable flasher relay which I then attached to the old flasher using double-sided tape.
As for the new Innova, the flasher relay is not in any of the provided documents because it doesn't have one. That function has already been integrated into the body controller and instrument cluster. The "clicks" you hear are merely produced by an electronic transducer to provide audible feedback. And if you notice, once you unbuckle your seatbelt while the turn signal is activated, the seatbelt warning sounds off and mutes the turn signal "clicks". This is the general direction modern cars are heading.
