Our speedometer is typically 5% faster vs actual ground speed.... So changing to a bigger diameter rim mitigates it by a factor of x/15...

Newbie here. I have a 2013 Innova (Diesel - AT) which I recently brought to Toyota Otis for 20K PMS. The thing though is when I got it back - I get this weird sound - when I drive it at 20-60 kmph. I can't quite pinpoint what kind of a sound it is but it is not the usual and it sounds really weird. It does not always happen but it happens. Once you accelerate beyond 60 then it is gone.

When I brought it to Toyota Otis and it was test driven - the sound was not there but the technician did say that he noticed a high-pitched sound coming. He said he saw some brakepad debris (they changed by brake pads a week after PMS) - but it is still there. What could this be?

Mine had a noise i could pinpoint where it was coming from, i can only hear it on a certain speed. few hours of looking here and there, the noise was coming from a not so tight stepboard. I didnt notice it since only my kids uses the stepboard, they dont have the weight to recreate the noise.

Mga Paps, naka pag pa reserve na ako innova a/t diesel. Wala ba kaya issues kung 1 o 2 beses lang in a week o baka hindi man lalabas sa garahe ang diesel innova during my absence in the Philippines? Since I am an OFW once a year or every 6 months lang siya talaga mapapalayo at magagamit , as in out of town or long trips, Baguio, Tagaytay, Subic , Rizal Province. I am from Pampanga by the way. Need your advise mga sir I will be getting the unit before the end of April or 1st week of May 2015. I still have time to change my mind to Gas variant . Thanks in advance.

if you intend to use it every 6 months or a year, i suggest you not buy a car at all.
umarkila ka na lang.. a 2 week hire of an innova will probably cost you 23K.. that's what you will spend on annual registration and insurance alone, if you bought a car.
and when you go back to work abroad, you have no maintenance worries, no fixin' worries, no registration and insurance worries..

Or save up and just buy a 2nd hand Innova. At least you don't need to suffer the high depreciation rate during the first years of ownership. Hindi sulit ang brand new kung seldom used.

Tama ka po, hindi sulit. Ako ofw rin kaya prefere kung kumuha ng 2nd hand kaya napost ko dito and dahil na rin kay mr vvti aware ako dun sa mileage tampering sa innova. Sana makatsamba ng murang at g dsl na innova. Uns psbank kya na repossed? Ok kya dun?

Ganun pla yun, diesel tlga gusto ko makuha. Kasi malayuang biyahe ska bukod dun ung diesel mura kesa gas. ska po ask ko na rin.. Kung icocompare sa isuzu crooswind... Npakausok unlyk sa innova di nman ganun. May benebenta kasi sakin dito xuv 07 at dsl. Medyo worry ako pag yun kasi lage ako nasa stop over ng team belcher kaya innova target ko.
